These work fine for storing Christmas lights, and fit in the bag nicely. My only problem was that the directions for assembling the reels weren't that clear about the rotating handles, which you have to install before snapping the two halves together. After I assembled the first reel I realized I hadn't included the handle, but it was too late, but I couldn't get it back apart without breaking it. The rotating handles are a nice feature, too bad one of our reels is now missing that.

Perfect for storing my outside lights! I was able to store 3 string of lights per spool! Very pleased with my choice!

This is a handy product, far superior to my traditional method of storing lights in boxes or large plastic bags and then having to sort everything all over again when the holiday season arrives. As several others have noted, it comes without instructions and it wasn't immediately obvious how to set up the reels, although I did figure it out. Only learned later that there's a video.

This requires assembly but doesn't include instructions. I was eventually able to figure it out but since these don't come apart once assembled, it would be helpful to know without having to go back to the product page.The spinning aspect is nice to help wind up lights but could have been done a little better. Still easier than not having a way to spin at all though.This is a nice way to store lights and prevent tangling. It fits all the lights I have and will hold large or smaller bulbed lights. It does take up more room on the reels than how I had them bundled but totally worth it if I don't have to worry about untangling them next year

This is a set of three holiday light storage reels, and a storage bag. The reels arrive flat, and while it's a bit of a pain to separate them, assembly was not difficult -- even though there were no instructions so be sure to look at the product description. I didn't check at the time and was able to figure it out.The handles go inside a groove in the middle of the reel, and then you snap it together. The handles have tabs that go into a ridge so the handle in the center of the reel rotates freely, which is a nice touch. The flaw I mentioned is that there is no rotating handle to connect outside the reel to wind up the lights. You can hold the handle in the middle of the reel and rotate the around it, but you have to rotate the reel by putting your finger in one of the holes (as in the product description video) or by spinning the outside edge to draw up the lights. Not a big deal, but my finger got sore from spinning the ring and I found it much easier to do while wearing gardening gloves. If the kit included one extra handle that would pop into the side of the reel, that would make things much easier and make this a five-star product.That said, I think this is still a good value when on sale (probably not at the list price). The reel is large enough to let me wind up a 150 foot string of LED christmas lights, and I wound up some icicle-type bush lights on another -- the kind of lights that have multiple short strands hanging from the main line. That fit nicely as well.All three full reels pictured above fit into the bag with room to spare, both around the reel and on top -- there was enough space to let me stick in another small reel of lights that I already had. The zipper is nice and will protect the lights until the next season.

Watch the video on how to put it together before you put it together. It’s so easy. TOTALLY worth the buy. Definitely makes it so much easier to store and there is no mess or tangles.

There were absolutely no instructions to assemble the reels. The company distributing or making this product needs to put an instruction sheet in the box !!!
