If you have the time and capability to do it go for it. It took me 10 hours but all that hard work paid off it was so nice everyone that would go in my car would love it

TLDR (Too long didn't read):+ I've had this for a year and have experienced no issues+ The cables are not visible when off (although if you really look for them you could find them)+ With proper cutting, no one can feel the cables on the ceiling+ cables don't make any noise (I just put the car's existing insulation over them, didn't add anything else to dampen the noise)+ Wide range of colors and brightness- remote became less responsive over time (although might be because I never changed the battery)- I wasn't the biggest fan of the app, although it did provide ample control for the lightsDetailed Review:Car: 2001 Toyota Highlander.Total time: probably 3 days of workI've been extremely happy with product. It took some time to install, and the glueing was tedious, but it was definitely worth it and I would definitely do this again. I had a lot of concerns regarding the lights, but none of them came to fruition. If I could go back I would improve cable management and probably apply black tape in select places so that extra light doesn't leak through the headliner, but neither of these really have that big of an impact on the cabin of the car.The photos I took were of:- lights off- lights on full brightness during the day- lights on fulll brightness at night- lights at a low brightness at night- lights on higher brightness at night where you can see the cables above the headlinerRemoving/reinstalling headliner into car:- Doesn't take too long, I bought some extra tools and that made it quite easy to fix everything- Look up videos for how to remove this to avoid damaging the headliner or other parts connected to it- Be careful of hidden screws, you don't want to pull too hard on things connected to the headliner- Reinstallation with the cables in wasn't different than putting it back without the cablesInstalling the lights (See Tips sections to make your life better):- I did this with a couple friends and it took about 2 full days.- Cables were already separated by size, so just don't let them remix because seeing the different size is very difficult.- 4 tasks: marking drill spots, drilling, feeding cables through the holes, and hot glueing them into place- Of the 4 tasks, glueing took a majority of the time, as you somewhat have to babysit each cable for a couple seconds depending on the heat of your hot glue gun and the stresses being placed on the cable- We didn't encounter any notable problems that weren't solved through simple methods (see Tips section), although our cable management was quite poor and that lead to a large tangle that made glueing the cables underneath it harder.Cutting the cables:- I did this AFTER reinstalling the headliner into the car- Was very cool to see the cables all dangling from the roof, might be worth leaving for a day or two or taking photos- This seemed to be a continual process over the course of a week where I'd cut them short and then the next day feel a bump and cut it further. At this point though I can't feel the lights.- Having a brush can be useful when doing the smaller cuts just to remove the small cable bits that get tangled in the roof of the car.Light Control:- The remote worked fine for getting static colors. I didn't care much for most of the dynamic light modes on it. The music mode didn't seem to work on the remote, definitely not when the engine was running at least.- I wasn't a big fan of the app since it required microphone access. (It also required location access but that is necessary for bluetooth).- The app is very responsive though and using the color wheel is a nice experience- If you want to make your own app to control the light it is possible. I've been able to connect to the light and change the colors as expected.Tips:- Make sure to mark where you want to drill first and drill according to the cable size.- Do the hot glueing with the lights turned on. This allows you to see when a cable is bending so you can fix it and avoid the lights barely shining through to the cabin- Depending on the temperature of your hot glue gun, or how much the cable is being pulled on, they'll start to bend at the hole. To avoid this, if you see the cable bending (if you see the light starting to show at the hole), start pulling the cable through the hole. This was really effective at protecting the cables.- The light from the cables above the headliner can sometimes leak through the headliner (You can see the cable streaks in the bright nighttime photo). It isn't really annoying to me but something to be aware of- make sure to do the tug test on every cable to make sure they are all glued in properly. I tested every one and haven't had any fall out on me- Be careful of where you put the light emitter. I fit mine in the headliner, but I had to move it once when I accidentally put it where a metal beam was.- There isn't much of a noticeable difference in size between the smallest and second smallest cables. But there is a slight difference in color depending on the RGB value set. I used the medium cables to make constellations and you can see the color difference in the photo where I circled the big dipper

Works as advertised. Great options on the Bluetooth app. Plenty of length on the fibers.

This product is worth every penny the lights are very bright that the phone camera can only pick up what you see and that’s really dull in person the lights are so bright that im sure if you had it on the blinking setting you could probably have a seizure the lights are really bright I can’t say that enough but the good thing is you could turn the brightness down even though I love how bright they are I also suggest that if you’re wrapping your roof with another material to not cheap out on adhesive use 3M headliner adhesive also I suggest using a pic for poking holes being that the drill bit is too tiny for the drill to grab ahold to. Use E2000 adhesive to hold the string in place you could get that from dollar general or other stores like Walmart feel free to ask me questions if I don’t answer your questions in this review 🙏😇

I can't tell those are super easy to install, but it's only because the headliner has to be removed to do it. Other than taking half of interior apart and poking 450 holes the actual threading, gluing and trimming was a piece of cake.Lights are super bright with a dimmer option. Fading option is nice. Music option picks up on car sounds (engine, exhaust) and base so lights flicker like crazy even through Moonlight Sonata :)Because the thickness of threads is different secondary colors produce different color stars, which i absolutely love! My favorites are turquoise which is a mixture of blue and green stars (picture 1), purple which is anything from pink to violet (pocture 2) and pure white.
