They need to sell it out correctly and stop showing different colors on the light uts just a clear plastic wire that uf you put a device the light will travel but it's not a light false information false advertising it's not a light at all.

I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to use this for, but in testing with LEDs and even low power lasers, the guide carries the light fairly evenly and much of the length of the guide. Looking at my desk mat right now, which has a light around the perimeter, i realize it's using the same kind of kind, and very likely the same bulk manufacturer. With the mat there's certainly a bright spot up by the light, but it is fairly uniform the rest of the way. Granted, the mat is lighting up both ends, so that's something to keep in mind with your designs. Lighting at one end will have some fading towards the unlit end.Holding onto this because I'm not sure what to use it in, but I do have a PC case build coming up...

Okay, so the price reflects JUST getting the side glow fiber optics cable, but wouldn't it have been smarter to offer maybe a couple of optons? Like cable only, cable with "this" light source or "this" light source? I purchased the EVESOAR Side Glow Fiber Optic USB Light Source for $23 to make this work. That's my problem - it is made by the same people and yet ALL they are offering is the fiber optic cable? Just saying...seems rather short-sided. But with the addition of the light source, this cable works very well. I haven't decided yet what I'm going to use it on, but it will probably be used to line some cosplay costume pieces for my daughter or her husband.

I was excited to give this a try and see how it looks in my car. When I illuminated the fiber optic cable I noticed hot spots or areas where you can see lines/blemishes throughout and takes away from having a nice clean glowing line. This may of happened due to how tight it is wound which is a big deal for me. The plastic is made out of heavy duty material, which worked well for me. You could see right through it. It helps the light in my car really shine on the inside interior. It was very easy to install no tool required.

By looking at the description it DOES NOT state that the light source NEEDED TO ILLUMINATE this cable IS NOT INCLUDED. This is a cable that the fiber goes into that will illuminate with the required LED light source (sold separately). Compared to other items of this same complicity this item is comparable in price. We did test this out just with an LED flashlight & it did illuminate with the white light as it is suggested it will do. All in all I would suggest that the seller modify the listed/description to be a little less misleading to avoid any misconceptions with buyers.

I'm waiting for my illuminator to arrive so I can light this baby up. I like the easy way it bends. It will be simple to wrap around things. This is how the project looks upon delivery. It arrived just as expected. Thank you!
