These were perfect for my son who elopes, has night terrors, and is Autistic so he doesn't understand a lot of dangers yet. Also it was very easy to install and holds on well against my strong toddler.

I bought this to keep the dog out of the litterbox. I have used the more expensive brand in the past and it worked great for us, no issues at all. But we moved and I needed a new one. Foolishly thought I could get the cheaper brand. It didn't last a day. The adhesive is awful, my dog barely needed to nudge the door to get it open. That took paint off so I couldn't even try to reapply it and it doesn't come with spare adhesive. I am a renter so I really wanted to do this damage free but came to check reviews and noticed the manufacture says to use screws for 'determined dogs.' I don't feel my dog is determined, more that it didn't require any force from him, but in order to give the product a fair chance I said fine, I'll damage the door on my rental unit and try to patch it when I move out if that's what it takes to keep him out of the litterbox. The screws didn't last any longer than the adhesive did and I tried two different lengths so ultimately I'm out $10, damaged my rental unit and have no solution to my problem. I will simply spend money on the brand that I know works.

This thing is fantastic!! We have it in out laundry room to give our cats a safe space to eat and relax away from our dog and toddlers. Easy to install, use, open, and excellent value! It's easy to open for either side of the door as long as you give enough space to get your fingers through. I'd say this is a safe and quick way to avoid headaches with rooms you want to reserve as an animal safe place.

It works well, the cats are able to get access while keeping the dog out... until the dog pushing a little bit on the door and the adhesive on the door just peels away letting the dog get in. It doesnt take much force to get it off.

I absolutely love how these are a bit more rigid (but still flexible) than some of the others on the market. The extra piece to keep the handle at one section after putting it on is a great idea too. I had some others that did the job - kept the dogs from getting in the cat's room ( where we kept the liter box, food, etc.) and generally open enough for the cat BUT if I had the windows open and there was a breeze, the door would sometimes shut. This door lock fixes that problem, by being slightly more rigid and having the bar you add on after putting it on the handle, the door stays open even with a breeze/gust, but the dogs stay out. Princess Kitty gives 2 paws up.

These are perfect for when I have to leave my pets home alone. I can keep the dog from getting into the rooms with the litter box and cat food. I thought I was going to have to put a cat door in as a solution, then came across this! Fairly easy to install. Since they are hard plastic, they are a little hard to manipulate over your door handle, but once they are there, they work perfectly. Once I got the size of the opening right for my girl, she walked right through with no hesitation. I might hesitate a purchase with an extremely large cat. My brother’s 22 pound boy might not fit through this door opening. These will also work great when my granddaughter starts getting mobile. There will be no pinched fingers in doors and I won’t have to fully shut the cat in or out of any room just to keep the baby out.

Ordered this when we adopted our dog in October and it had been a lifesaver since. This lets us keep the doors to rooms cracked so cats can go in and out but dog is stuck on one side - allowing us to keep their food safe in its own room and letting the cats still have full freedom when we leave the house. One major con: these do not stay on our door handles without some help. It can easily be kept on with a hair tie, which is why I still love it, but if it had a better mechanism for staying on its own that would be great. We have the handles that are like a lever instead of a knob, so these pop right off and the little adjustable piece does nothing/sometimes pops off the rest of it. I’ve used them on knobs before and there were no issues. A fix to this would make these perfect.

This was a great way to keep our front door closed so our 2yr old couldn’t run off. Until I forgot it on and my husband came through the door… tore off the paint and a layer of the drywall.

Using this on a sliding door between house and garage. Easy to attach and so far is keeping baby out of garage while allowing cat into garage. Not sure if this will hold as baby grows and gains strength.
