These are good starter skates for little ones to make sure they are into it. I upgraded the kids to nicer skates about a year after getting these. my only complaint is there are only a few holes to feed laces through and the touch slips down a lot. Wheels seem to drip well

No matter how tight we screw it in the middle wheel at wrong on both fell off about 5 times and we only used the skates a few times. It is sad and frustrating and if you don't have the right screwdriver on you .. you are screwed. I would not recommend this sorry

I bought these for my 8 year old nephew, they are his first pair of skates. They fit great and are true to size, no need to order a size up. Nice, athletic look. He put them on right away, and after we adjusted the tightness of the wheels, he was off. Great skate for a great price.

Bought these for my 6 year old who has been wanting to learn to roller skate. We decided to go up to the city park and let him skate at the skate park where kids do roller blading, skateboarding and bikes. Not sure if it was the slightly bumpy asphalt the city uses but it caused some serious ware to the wheels after only being out there for about 30mins. We then went to the basketball court which was a lot smoother and seemed to do better. We have also used these at the local roller skating rink and they worked great.BLUF: My two cents if you have a nice smooth sidewalk for your kids to skate on these are great. If your at a city park like mine it might be a better idea to leave the skates at home.

This is a well made, sturdy skate I would highly recommend. After looking for some time at various stores, I was discouraged. They were either too heavy - (a hybrid of a roller blade), catered for girls who love princesses, or cheaply made. This skate is leather and made for a boy. The wheels are wider than a standard skate - but this helps beginners. My son was skating within minutes on his own on the carpet, and then translated this to the floor. This skate made it easy and gave him confidence. I even saw him jump a little. That's what you want in a skate - an extension of your own body. He also likes this much better than ice skates.

I bought these for my 5yr old son , I bought a size 1. I actually bought these used. The description said "used ,like New". I was very surprised when they arrived because they were actually new, still packed in original box. I opted for these because they are high tops and look like they provide great ankle support. I decided not to buy the skates you adjust as the child grows because the plastic looked flimsy. These skates are built tough and are very sturdy. The sizing is accurate. Great first pair of skates. My son can't put them down. I ordered the pink and white for my niece and will buy again.

These were exactly what we were hoping for-skates that were true to a boy's shoe size (versus the "adjustable skates" found in stores that are garbage). They fit well and are sturdy. The price was great for the skates as they will be part of a collection of bikes and scooters and other such activities. I recommend them to others searching for a pair of good quality, comfortable, and durable skates. They could work for boys or girls, ours just happened to be the colors our boy chose.
