This review is for a Chestnut Clip Peeler Nutcracker Aluminum Alloy.I can't tell you how excited I was to find this chestnut peeler that even came with a pick and a scraper. I've been preparing chestnuts for roasting since I was a kid. I used a small kitchen knife and it's a wonder I did not cut my fingers off trying to cut an X into the peel so they would roast internally well. This little chestnut peel cutter is heavy and a pretty sturdy tool. It's interior is finished with an X that will penetrate the peel in just the right spot so I won't have to. Regretfully it is not chestnut season so I cannot tell you yet if this worked well or not. it will be a few months yet before I can try this out.

With their spiny outer shells and hard inner shells, chestnuts are one of the most difficult and dangerous nuts to prepare.In my childhood, I used a knife to peel the inner hard shells because we didn't have any other good ways.But now I would never recommend doing that to anyone.One slip of hand, and your may injure your hand/finger.This sturdy chestnut peeler offers a safer alternative peeling solution.You can stably place and cut into a chestnut inside of this plyer-like tool.There is a long metal tool to facilitate peeling the shell and digging the inner nut.Also included is a nozzle for squeezing chestnut paste/cream out of a bag.Look forward to using this peeler set in the chestnut season.Thank you for letting me review this product.
