Positive: The coverage is good, both in length, and in protecting your sides from splashes and spatters. The fabric seems strong enough to handle a lot of washings, although it’s not as tough as the cotton/poly twill apron this is replacing. The ties are long enough to get around your body and tie in front, and provide a good place for a side towel. The decision to use separate elastic suspenders means that there’s no fixed-length strap yanking at your neck (which has always bugged me about kitchen aprons), and that the apron can be washed in hot water that would wreck the elastic of permanently attached suspenders. I personally don’t think I’ll use the hip pocket, but it’s large enough and deep enough to be useful for someone else’s habits. Overall, the fabrication seems good, with regard to fabric, seams and finishing.Negative: I expected the initial setup to be a bit fussy, based on the manufacturer’s product video. That’s OK, since it’s a one-time setup. However, the suspender clips don’t open quite far enough to get over the folded seam at the waist easily, so it’s fussy every time I put the apron on, especially since I’m fiddling around behind my back where I can’t see what’s going on. (I leave three of the four clips in place, as the manufacturer’s video suggests.) It’s still faster than getting my chef’s coat buttoned up, but not by much. The suspenders idea is only a good one if the suspenders are good enough to do their job. These aren’t “fit for purpose,” as the Brits say. There’s a place to put a stick-style instant-read thermometer, but that pocket isn’t big enough to hold a Thermowerks Thermapen, and I don’t use the stick thermometers any more. I thought that I might be able to stick one of the little Thermowerks magnetic steel mounting plates inside the pocket, and could use the Thermapen’s magnet to stick to that from the outside, but the chest thermometer pocket has no bottom in order to handle stick thermometers of various lengths, so the plate falls through. I may ask my woman friend to sew the pocket bottom closed so I can slip the steel plate into that pocket.Overall: pretty good. Good function once it’s on. If you’re wearing it for a full shift, the fussiness in getting the fourth clip on is not going to be so bad, but if you’re in and out of the apron every 15 minutes, that may drive you nuts. The fact that the thermometer pocket doesn’t handle a Thermapen is unfortunate, but to be fair, almost all aprons and jackets are still set up for stick thermometers, so that’s not particular to this product.

I like that this apron has suspenders instead of the traditional neck strap. I also like that there are pockets

I like wearing aprons with the chef works cross back apron suspenders. I usually have to cut off the top straps on the aprons but this one I didn’t have to. The apron is long and provides a lot of coverage. I think it’s great and will end up buying another. The only issue I have is the lack of a chest pocket. I always have a sharpie, pen, and tweezers in my chest pocket. This apron only has a strap the hold everything so I frequently hook things on my tweezers.

As a chef I really like bib style apron I think it's sharp.. but the neck strap always tugged at my neck from my belly I suppose lol but this fits so well so comfortable the suspenders are amazing and durable so far I have 4 and 2 are newer but the suspenders are just as good on the new as the old I can't tell the difference between them.Price is let's say not cheap but the are good quality and if I'm not mistaken you get these cheaper here then through chef works directly 😉 lol

This is the perfect apron. It's large, it fits high on chest and wide enough to cover most of my chest. (I'm 6'1 - 235) And it reaches all the way to my knees. The braces (suspenders) make infinitely adjustable to your needs. You can buy cheaper aprons, but with this apron you won't need to buy an apron for a long time.

This was the only apron found that actually had strings long enough for a large waist (even though others claimed to). The suspender straps are ultra comfortable, with absolutely no pull on the neck like you find with most aprons. The denim is just the right weight—not too stiff.

I bought this as a gift for my husband who is a chef. Chef works are high quality all around and this one has a nice accent with the suspender colors - very classy and highly functional. Highly recommended!

Such a great thing for the bigger folks. It is heavy but you really forget it is there. The suspenders do tend to come loose every now and then but it is a easy fix.
