Works great with the plastic shell on the portal. The magnetic charging dongle fits securely and it's good to never have to remove it as I can also plug in a cable to the dongle. The base unit is stable and lighting works great. Great item at a great price

This charger lets you charge your PS Portal *with* a protective cover on! 🙌 So convenient. It uses a USB-C cable, too, no detaching needed. Check the description and pics! My only gripe? The red/green charging light on the front of the charger itself and material – a bit cheap-looking, IMO. 🤔 Otherwise, I love it! Nice and compact size base stand for the PS Portal. Nice color and pattern choices and clear green/red on charging. The key convenient feature is the USB charging adapter that allow putting the Portal into the charging base without hassle, and also an extra USB-C female socket allow passthrough charging when charging away from the base.

After looking at several other docks for the Portal I decided on this one. The main driving factor behind that decision was the dongle. It’s easier than most others to remove as it doesn’t sit near flush and the reason for that is because it has a USB C pass through connection. Thats a great thing to have as it allows you to charge while playing or while away for the dock without having to pry out a dongle.Thats dock itself works great. I was able to charge with a hard shell on my Portal no problem so if you’ve got one of those slippery shells you’ll be able to keep it on while charging. No issue with overheating and it’s not a big bulky contraption that takes up too much space.My one concern before I purchased this was the led lights. I keep this in my bedroom and am a dark sleeper. Luckily the rgb lights can be turned off with a long press of the rgb button. The status indicator light on the front though cannot, no big deal though.Overall this is a great product and I would definitely buy it again.

Being able to just place the portal in the charger and without using cables is just genius. The charger brings an attachment that you can just leave on the portal all the time since it has a usb-c port if you need to charge it with a cable while leaving the adapter ready to use with the charger. This was a great purchase. Recommended!

This dock is simple and does exactly what it says. I don’t need the RGB lights and appreciate they’re easy to turn off. I have a rubber case with a stand in the Portal and the extra thickness of it keeps the USB-C adapter from wiggling, though I did notice a little movement before putting the case on.Overall this charger is worlds easier than using just a cable, which seems silly to say but there we are.

Not sure if I am missing something but all product pictures show the moveable charging interface included but my charging base did not come with one. Can someone shed some light on this? Thank you!

Works very well even with protective shell. I think it fits better if you have protective shell on your portal.
