  • Enhance Grilling Flavor: Elevate your grilling experience and add rich, smoky flavors with your choice of wood chips or pellets. Perfect for imparting that authentic BBQ taste to your favorite dishes.
  • Optimal Smoke Circulation: The lid of the smoker box features perforations that facilitate excellent air circulation. This design promotes the even distribution of smoke throughout the grill, ensuring every bite is infused with delicious flavor.
  • Precision Fit for Gas Grills: Specifically designed to fit between the flame deflector bars of most gas grills, this V-shaped smoker box places the smoke precisely beneath the grill grates. This positioning maximizes the flavor infusion for your meats, veggies, and more.
  • Easy to Use: Enjoy hassle-free smoking by simply filling the box with soaked wood chips or pellets of your choice. Place it on the grill, preheat, and let the smoker box work its magic.
  • Versatile Usage: Not limited to just one position, this smoker box can also be placed directly on the grill grates for traditional smoking methods. It offers flexibility in how you want to smoke your food, whether integrated or standalone.

With the Charcoal Companion cast iron gas grill V-shaped smoker box, you can add flavor & moisture to your foods as you grill; simply fill the box with pre-soaked wood chips or pellets & get grilling! smoke & moisture vapor will emerge from the lid's perforations & make your food flavorful & tender. This V-shaped smoker box fits between flame deflector bars on gas grills, positioning smoke right beneath grill grates for the most intense flavor. The box also works as a traditional smoker box sitting directly on grates. To convert to a traditional smoker box, remove the lid & place under the box; the box nestles securely in the lid's grooves. The durable cast iron construction is ideal for repeated uses. Wood chips not included. Use: soak the wood chips or pellets of your choice & drain well. Add chips or pellets to your smoker box, place the lid, & put the box on the grill grate directly over the gas burner. Pre-heat your grill with the lid closed. As your grill heats up, smoke & moisture vapor will emerge from the smoker box's perforations. Once the grill has come to the desired temperature, place food in the grill near smoker box & close the lid during cooking. Add more chips or pellets as needed. Care: to preserve the useful life of your smoker box, hand wash with hot water only & dry immediately. Cast iron is porous, do not allow to soak. Do not wash in the dishwasher. Periodically apply a small amount of vegetable oil to surface. WARNING: smoker box will get very hot! use heat-safe gloves when handling. Do not use on infrared grills. Be sure used wood chips or pellets are cool before disposing.

This smoker box fits right between my burners on the grille Weber spirit 2 , I put hickory chips in it smoked skinless chicken thighs and they came out amazing, kept the heat around 275 for about an hour and these things had a good amount of smoke flavor I cooked the chicken right on top of the grate over the box 👍👍 well worth the money

I have been using a stainless steel smoker of similar design in my Weber grill. This cast iron box, while heavier, seems to retain heat better. It takes a bit longer to get the wood chips smoking, but when it does, they continue to provide smoke even when the burners are turned to a lower temperature. You should be careful when putting the box in place. Since it is heavy, it can move the "flavorizer bars" out of the grooves designed to hold them in place.

Lo uso sia per il pellet che con le chips, ottimo prodotto da poter usare sia chiuso che aperto visto che il coperchio si toglie e lo si può usare come base, lo si può utilizzare sia tra le barre flavour che sopra la griglia,

Nothing not to like really if you have enough heat to start the damp wood burning. It's really designed to set on coals or near them.I think people struggle with a gas bbq as it doesn't produce enough localised heat. Will withstand a 1-megaton blast, so it'll probably outlive you..

Great quality cast iron smoker box. I'm sure I'll get years of use before it breaks down. It's triangular shape fits perfectly in between the flavor bars on my Weber. Highly recommend.

You can't put it on the lower flavor grids without removing the upper grids. It's too big. The upper grids are too far away from the flames to get the wood to smoke. It works when I remove the upper grids but the wood burns out after 20 minutes. Not a good old brick bb-q flavor. I'm not doing that every time anyway. I like the cross flavor grids to evenly disperse the heat.

I took this out of the package 10 minutes ago and I’m already very happy with it. It’s heavy cast iron.. so I expect it to last longer than my previous steel boxes. The angle of the cast iron box is perfectly matched to my Weber grill. Another review were on here mentioned the box falling through his flavorizor bars. That reviewer was using a cheap charbroil grill. There’s a good possibility his burners are so far spaced out that an angled box would never work. This thing was clearly designed to work well with higher and grills like Weber without an issue. The same problem probably caused that other reviewer‘s issue with heating the box. My previous smoker box is set on top of the flavorizer bars. This box sits snug up against them. That should help the box heat up quickly.

Works great with pellets or wood chips. Will smoke even if the chips are dry. Fits very nicely between the flavorizer bars of a Weber grill. Must be careful as it’s heavy and may push them apart if trying to refill it or move it while the grill is going. I suggest getting two, keeping one full and ready to replace as the other dies out.

Very heavy cast iron. Wood chips smoke perfectly. Either use it sitting between two flame deflectors or set the lid ontop of the grate and cradle the chip holder on the lid with the brackets on the bottom side of the lid. Only thing is you'll lose a little grill area using this second method.

Slid right through the heat shields (“flavorizer” bars?) of my Char-Broil Performance gas grill and landed in the drip pan. Hot, dangerous chore trying to get that out of there. Had to shut the gas off, etc. with the meat already on the grill. Not happy about that! Too narrow and/or too heavy.Couple other issues...It’s cast iron and it seems to take quite awhile to get hot. I recommend NOT soaking your chips before hand or you’ll be waiting a dog’s age for this thing to get smoking. I had soaked my chips for 30 minutes prior to use. After all that. It didn’t put out much smoke anyway. It put out enough to make me sneeze but when I’d lift the grill lid, smoke wasn’t pouring out like I’m used to seeing when I’d smoke things on my Weber charcoal grill. This box did; however, burn the wood chips to ash. So the wood burnt too hot and too quickly to be really smoky (and that’s with wet chips!). By the way, I may be just as much a fool as the next guy for soaking my chips anyway because soaking the chips is an often repeated myth. It’s a waste of time because the wood doesn’t soak up enough water to make any difference. Bottom line, this box takes a long while to get started, is loose and wobbly, and gave me mediocre results. In the end, I couldn’t taste any smoke on the ribs. Overall, I’m pretty disappointed with this smoker box. Think I paid about $12 a few days ago. Now the price has doubled! LOL! Not worth it.UPDATE: Tried it again today. Mesquite chips. NOT soaked. Still sucks! Nothing more than a whisp of smoke. No flavoring. Took another star off. Can’t seem to make this work.

This smoker box works perfect. It's sits snugly between the burner baffles on my propane grill. I seem to get two good grilling sessions with this box. The first provides the most pronounced smoke flavor. It obviously works really well for steaks, but also I've come to really love the slight oak flavor it imparts on corn on the cob. I was not expecting this to work as well as it does, but am considering buying several more as gifts, as so many people have complimented us on the oak flavor from our grill.
