I have a small chicken coop that sometimes attracts black snakes. They love to steal the eggs! I have been chasing them and pouncing on them to catch and have had a snake throw up on me and poop on me etc. This takes away the unpleasantness of snake catching. I just scoop them up drop them in a bag and relocate them to the wild... I recommend this product... It is small so it fits in your back pocket but is strong enough to catch a 5-6 foot rat snake.

These hooks are flimsy and cheap. They're likely to break lifting anything more than 1lb and snakes certainly weigh more than that.
