How to install a new clutch on a kart?

Step 1: First, we need to remove the outer drive cover. Loosen the drive chain by loosening the nut at the bottom of the engine mounting plate so that the engine has enough room to slide backward. This step requires careful operation to prevent interference during subsequent installation.
Step 2: Remove the drive chain from the drive wheel sprocket (shaft sprocket). This process requires the use of appropriate tools and ensuring that the sprocket is not damaged during operation. When removing the bolts and washers at the end of the engine crankshaft, be sure to pay attention to the correct position of the new clutch gaskets and washers to prevent errors during subsequent installation.
Step 3: Remove clutch from engine crankshaft. Make sure that the clutch key holes are perfectly aligned with the keyway on the crankshaft before installing the new clutch onto the crankshaft. After installation, slide the clutch onto the shaft to check whether it is stable.
Step 4: Reinstall the clutch bolts and washers on the crankshaft to ensure that all components are properly installed without any interference or loosening.
Step 5: Reinstalling the drive chain on the clutch and drive wheel sprocket (shaft sprocket) is a crucial step that requires careful handling to ensure its stability.
Step 6: When the engine has slipped back to the proper position, we need to tighten the chain. When the chain has been deflected to about a quarter of an inch and the appropriate tension has been obtained, the next step can be taken.
Finally, the seventh step is to tighten the nuts at the bottom of the engine mounting plate and reinstall the outer drive cover. After this step is complete, make sure that all parts are properly secured without any loose or abnormal noise.

Chain NOT Included:

Mounts onto crankshaft using bolt and washer on the end of the crankshaft. (Clutch does not need set screws as long as the end of the crankshaft is threaded to accept a bolt. Most go kart clutches are held onto the shaft with a bolt and larger washer. Extra washers if needed are used on the crankshaft to space clutch.)

The Centrifugal Clutch 1" Needs Be Oiled Before Use:

Don't put oil inside the clutch holes: The holes on the drum are to let the hot air out of the clutch. When oil gets in the drum portion of the clutch it will cause excessive slippage, which means undue heat will be generated

I was looking for a heavy duty clutch and I found it. This one weighs a little bit more than the others I’ve purchased but they didn’t hold up. I’m a dad riding mini bikes with his boys. Love how smooth it is to.

Do not waste your money! Fits as specified however it will not engage! Just slips and gets red hot! Right put of the box and doesn't work. I wouldn't but another one!
