I have a vacuum attached to a small cyclone (Oneida ultimate dust deputy) and I wanted a long hose to help me clean all around my shop. This hose is certainly long enough to do that. Can’t say it’s painless to negotiate the hose around all the stationary tools, but it can be done. The hose sometimes wants to coil up and get stuck on corners. To store it, I loop it over the rails of the garage door. I’ve been thinking about making some sort of reel for it so I can wall-mount it and wind and unwind it as needed. One disappointment is that none of the adapters would connect the hose to my cyclone. The end of the hose meant to attach to the vacuum is slightly too big, so I’ll need to make a sleeve to get it to fit. Fortunately, the other end of the hose is compatible with my vacuum accessories. I’ve found the length of the hose to be very useful for deeper shop cleaning after I’ve finished a project.

Hose was delivered by Amazon very quickly. The box had old shipping paper holders and torn off shipping stickers so right away I figured I had got someone else's return.Fittings for the hose were loose in the box along with the torn open plastic bag that they should have been in. Nothing had been used so I figured I got lucky. Then I noticed the hose end that connects to the shop vac was missing. I assume someone ordered it and kept that part and sent it back.I was going to start a return but decided to message Cen-Tec and give them a chance to correct the issue.Penny with Cen-Tec emailed me back the following morning and got the part right out to me. Great customer service and I will definitely be buying from them again. The hose itself works great. It is very flexible and the anti static feature is awesome. Also love the quick change adapters for different tools in the shop.Great product and customer service!

Before I Bought this hose I was continually getting shocked while sanding my woodworking projects. Additionally, I was dragging my shop vac around wherever I needed to sand. With this new longer hose I can put my vac in a central location and just move the hose to the spot that I need to sand. Also I have found that with the grounding built into this cable the static build up has gone away as it is pulled off to ground as the hose lays on the floor. I can’t believe it took me so long to realize they even made a grounded hose AND that it too so long for me to buy it. The hose couplings that came with the hose generally work well. It is still likely you will use any vendor specific fittings that you might have. But the ones that come with the hose aren’t bad. Overall, this set is Highly recommend.

I wanted to update my hose on my 6.5 HP Shop Vac (see photo). I purchased this understanding that it was for (tool) dust collection but I thought that I could also make it work to use my 1.25 inch Shop Vac accessories. The shop vac end fit perfectly (about 2.25-inch OD). The nut from the old hose is no longer needed and it also will not fit the new hose (nut I.D. is too small - see photo). I spent hours researching a way to add a 1.25-inch end on the quick connect end that's designed for dust collection. I gave up. That's okay. I knew this wasn't really designed for that but it would be a great accessory to just be able to quick-connect the 1.25 nozzle. And then I wouldn't need two (or three) expensive hoses. It just seems that an accessory like that should be available. But... Cen-Tec does offer at least 3 hoses that will work for my Shop Vac and have 1.25 ends (92707, 90342, and 94148) and all 3 were available on Amazon - they just aren't quick connect. So - all I need is the screw-on end from one of those hoses. Surely Cen-Tec must supply those as a spare part. Nope. It would easily thread onto the hose but I couldn't find it anywhere. Not on the Cen-Tec website either. So then I thought okay - I will just get another 2.25 (vacuum end, also referred to as the 2.5-inch end in other Cen-Tec hose descriptions) because my Ryobi Table Saw dust-collection port uses the exact same size as the vacuum end of the hoses. The vac end plugs right into my table saw port - just like it was made for it. The table saw port I.D. is about 2.3". Nope. That's not available either. I researched the Cen-Tec website but that website has less information than Amazon. So I was unable to purchase any accessory - screw-on or click connect in any brand - that would allow me to use this dust collection hose on the dust collection port of my table saw. I didn't really want two expensive hoses but I was willing to keep this one if I could just make it work on my table saw.One thing that is really frustrating is that very few adapters and accessories (Cen-Tec and others) give the outside diameter and/or the inside diameter(s). And it's not just me. I spent hours looking through reviews - trying to find information that I cannot find in item descriptions. And while I was doing that I saw lots of persons that ordered something that did not fit their application. Sometimes if dimensions are listed it doesn't say if it's I.D. or O.D. Or - when it does - it's not clear if they are referring to the accessory or the device that it attaches to. Amazon reviews were helpful for that but I still didn't find anything. Cen-Tec uses different terms for the same item in some cases. Sometimes they refer to the common-size vacuum end as 2.5-inch and in this ad they refer to it as 2.25-inch. The 2.5 description probably comes from the 2.5-inch hose-size if the reducer was not used. I even tried to find a 2.5 inch hose with a 2.5 (2.25) fitting on each end. I couldn't find that either - in any brand.I ordered the Cen-Tec 94148 hose for my shop vac but had to return this hose. I was willing to keep it but just couldn't find a way to make it work as a table saw dust collection hose. I'm sure there is a way to do it but I was not willing to invest any more hours in it. I've probably spent 6 to 8 hours on it already. It just seems silly that I cannot get the 2.25 end on each end of the hose - unless I purchase and additional Cen-Tec hose and remove that end and attach it to the other hose. That seems wasteful and I didn't want to spend $35 for just that end and have to discard the hose. I guess I'll have to drive around to hardware and plumbing stores and try to find a Fernco rubber plumbing adapter that works with some other accessory that I don't have yet - to make it fit my table saw. That was the recommendation of several reviewers. The dimension for the vac end of this hose 2.28" O.D (distal end of fitting). - measured with calipers. It's slightly tapered and an interference fit, and compresses a little bit when you insert it into the standard 2.5 (2.25 I.D.) vacuum port.

Love these hoses! I have both this Anti static in a 30 ft. and the regular 20 ft. Absolutely love how flexible they are and rather robust. I often (but accidently) step on them and haven't crushed one yet. I use these in combination with my Festools and CT Dust extractor. I also purchased the accessory kit that supplies you with additional end fittings for different size dust ports. That way I can leave the hose attachments to the tools and just unclip the quick release hose and snap it into a different tool. Love it! I find I don't even use the hose that came with my festool dust extractor. No need when you have a hose that's twice as long! I will say, I do however like the nylon sleeve wrap that is on my festool vacuum hose, that protects it a little more and gives it a cool color. So, I found here on Amazon, braided wire sleeve in 1.25" in 50 ft. rolls in black and black/red. I put it over the hose for protection and gave it a cool look. It wasn't easy to pull wire sleeve of that size over 30 ft. of vacuum hose. But after a lot of swearing and happy thoughts. I achieved my goal. Would and have recommended these brand vacuum hoses to lots of people.

I was worried about the quality of this hose but it looks very durable and the two different ends plus suction control make it a great deal. For Fein vacuums, which I have, the attachment point is a little tight. Fein is standard 2 1/4" ID; this hoses fitting is 2 9/32"-11/32" OD tapered. With a little floor wax it will fit in and stay in snugly. Eventually I'll make a proper adapter using PVC. Anti-static works great too.
