There is no tip on the rod or in the box. Looks like I was sent a broken rod.

These are strange reels. I bought one (From fleet farm in mn) thinking it would be like my 13 or eagle claw in line reels, but it’s not. There doesn’t seem to be a release or brake, and you reel against the drag; it’s you that fights the drag, not the fish. If a fish wants to run, you let the handle go, and there is nothing to slow the fish down. Unless I’m missing something (and I could be; there are no instructions for this reel beyond an online video to change left/right hand retrieve) this reel is barely functional. Do *not* buy it. There are far better alternatives, for equivalent price.
