**Review of the Celestron Edge HD 9.25 with Advanced VX Mount**I recently purchased the Celestron Edge HD 9.25 with the Advanced VX mount with the intent of reviewing the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been deeply disappointing, particularly due to a significant issue with the mount.From the outset, while attempting to align the telescope using both the NexStar Plus handheld remote and Celestron's CPWI software, I encountered a persistent problem where the mount would drift to the left, regardless of the control method used. This issue was not resolved even after performing a factory reset and meticulously following the alignment procedure. Instead of locking onto the initial celestial object, the mount would continuously rotate, indicating a possible motor encoder problem.After just three days of ownership, I reached out to the support line for assistance. Despite troubleshooting efforts, the problem remained unresolved. Ultimately, the support team advised me to return the mount for repair. The realization that I might miss the solar eclipse due to this setback is profoundly disheartening.In conclusion, while the Celestron Edge HD 9.25 promised an exceptional viewing experience, my encounter with a faulty mount has significantly marred my anticipation and excitement.
