We had a fan remote that was flaking out and I saw this remote and wall kit. All I really needed was the remote, but the additional wall kit and new controller is a great bonus! For me I just needed to change the dip switches in the remote to match what was in the old remote and voilà every thing worked great. The next thing is to replace the wall switch with the remote switch.

This item was purchased because it was capable of having a wall switch as well as a remote control it does the dimming perfectly for LED lights in the fan fixture

Same glich others reported, the wall switch doesn't respond about half the time. I can not recommend purchasing this product

I ordered this because we were having problems getting a newly installed ceiling fan to work. We assumed that it needed a new "brain." By the time this product arrived, we had worked out the issue with the non-functioning ceiling fan. However, we hung onto this kit because it is very nice and we still have 6 more ceiling fans left to install. We decided it might be a good idea to have this on standby just in case we have issues with one of the other fans, or in case one of them ever goes bad. It's a really nice remote and dimmer switch. If we end up installing it, I'll update this review.

This product is super nice, I like the design and everything. But in trying to install it I learned that I have a DC fan which has a different wiring setup to this device which is for an AC fan. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a switch for my fan but I was really hoping this would work because I love the look.

Easy install, no different than installing a light switch and replacing the control mounted at the fan location. Remote works perfectly, but the wall mounted switch does not. Sometimes it works, most times it does not. Requested a replacement, we will see if this is a one off issue or an issue with the product overall. I do see that one other purchaser had a similar issue….Update, replacement received and installed. Works as it should so far.

I needed a solution for my single switch to power both fan and light. I was using the pull down switches on the fan, but it’s not ideal for a guest room where “guests” don’t always know how to operate the switches the way you have things wired. If they want to run the fan at night, but turn the light off, flipping the light switch won’t work to turn the light back on. It was just an annoyance.I searched high and low for the proper remote/switch combo and found this product that had everything I was looking for, EXCEPT the ability to reverse the fan blade direction (CW or CCW). Some fans have the switch built into the base, while newer fans that rely 100% on remote operation, don’t. So there is a tradeoff. I have not found a workaround on this, but I desperately needed a switch controller, so I ordered and installed this one. Installation was straightforward and intuitive. No surprises or guesswork involved. Works as expected. Switch looks nice. Not a fan of the old school clunky remote though. It reminds me of 2007. Otherwise it’s a good deal. Decent price for what it is.

I don’t know how long these have been out. They couldn’t come soon enough for sure. A lot easier to operate versus older ones. It has been too long.
