I debated a long time before buying this. I looked at similar hammock-style window sill perches first, but I didn’t think my cat would feel secure without something solid beneath her. She’s very skittish about sitting in or on anything that moves or wobbles even the slightest. She’s a chonky girl so I wanted to get her something she’d feel safe sitting on. She LOVES this window perch. It has a solid wooden platform instead of a fabric/hammock-style platform. It moves just the tiniest bit when she jumps on and off, but it seems very stable when she is laying on it. I chose to mount this with both the Velcro strips and the included screws for extra security. I also did a little extra reinforcement directly below the window frame by screwing in a 2x4 along the front edge of the window trim so I had more wood to screw the platform into. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Boomer, one of our family cats, really loves a specific windowsill in our home and is laying there all day every day. The issue we were having is that he would fall asleep and roll off the windowsill! Although it would make me giggle, I know I would hate to be woken up that way! When I found this cat window bed, I was so excited for him. We got it same day delivery and the installation was a breeze! The cushion is so soft and thick, much better than I even expected. It’s super sturdy and I have no concerns of it collapsing on him at all. Boomer immediately started using it and has not moved from it since. No more crashes and bangs from him falling off the windowsill, so now he will get some good z’s while sunbathing in his favorite window. Definitely a win!

Both my boys LOVE this window seat. It was very easy to install and have quickly become a fan favorite. One of our boys loves it the most (obviously), and this thing can hold its own! Our grey kitty weighs 13.7 lbs and our tabby weights 9.8 lbs; with both on there, it may make a slight creaking sound, but it holds its own for hours on end and has yet to fail us. The fit was a bit difficult, but that could also be the oddness of our apartment windows. However, it leaves plenty of room for us to crack the window and for them to enjoy the breeze and birds.

I am absolutely delighted with the VIPACE Cat Window Perch! This cat hammock seat has become my feline friend's favorite spot in the house, and here's why:Firstly, installation was a breeze. It took me just a few minutes to set it up securely on the window sill, and it has held up perfectly since. The strong suction cups give me peace of mind that my cat is safe while lounging.Speaking of lounging, my cat adores this perch. It's like a front-row seat to the world outside, and he spends hours gazing out the window, which keeps him entertained and mentally stimulated. The design is not only practical but also stylish. It blends seamlessly with my home decor and doesn't look out of place. Plus, the removable and machine-washable cover is a lifesaver for keeping it clean and fresh. What truly sets this perch apart is its sturdiness. My cat is on the larger side, and it easily supports his weight without any wobbling or concern.Overall, the VIPACE Cat Window Perch is a win-win for both my cat and me. It provides him with a comfy spot to relax and watch the world, and I get to enjoy her happiness and the sleek addition to my home. I highly recommend it to fellow cat owners—it's a purrfect purchase!

Of all the various cat beds on Amazon, this one fits my needs the most. Unfortunately, it sags after a while. Now this might be because I have multiple kitties who occasionally fight over the perch, but I'm not the only person in the world to have multiple cats. I feel that the designer should have considered that inevitability.I'm adding legs to my perch. I shouldn't have to, but it's the best way I can keep the platform from sagging. If you purchase this, consider making this small adjustment to the product.

This is the worst cat perch I have ever purchased, and is a terrible design which was clearly untested. The perch SHOULD sit flush on your window sill, making contact via velcro strips. Instead, to cut shipping costs, the perch base is now a FOLDING piece of wood with a hinge down the middle. That hinge means it will not sit flush on the window sill, and will never make good flush contact with the velcro strips.Additionally, the angle of the legs is poorly designed and asking a lot of physics.... Any weight on the perch forces downward pressure on those, so they just go skidding down your wall and your cat falls off. Better perches I've owned arc out and then come straight INTO the wall more to create more inward force against the wall when weight is applied. The current design of this product A: doesn't work and B: will make black skid marks on your wall. This is a cheap product that was designed for costs, not functionality. The hinge straight down the middle prevents it from ever affixing to your window sill properly. The support legs are not the correct angle and will not support any weight. The combination affect is that your cat will jump up, the support legs will go skidding down your wall, causing the front of the perch to tip down - leveraging the top non-flush velcro joint at the window sill to pop straight off.If anything, installing this perch is a great prank to play on your cat.I enjoy how some of the other reviewers were positive even though they also had to add their own fixes to both these problems, such as adding their own 3m strips. But that's a band-aid to these impossible design flaws that won't last.Don't buy this perch. Do not buy any perch that has legs that look like this. The support legs need to push "into" the wall, not skid down it. Board simply cannot be hinged, a 5 yr old could see that. What were they thinking?
