I am kind of obsessed with this.It does have a funky smell when you first open it but my cats LOVE IT.I’ve had it up about a week now and two of my four climb it when they get the zoomies and really enjoy just hanging there for a minute.I originally thought I was going to install in our catio but didn’t feel like drilling into brick and stucco so it’s in our dog / cat / guest room. I honestly like it. I think it looks nice with our current decor / color scheme, etc. at first I was iffy about essentially having a piece of carpet on the wall but I also installed behind a door so maybe that’s why I am okay with it. The two that love it are 16 and 12 lb kitties and I have had no issues with it coming off the wall.I did have to show them it was okay and used cat nip but now they’re good to go.

This is deceptively soft. You expected to be rough at first glance, but if you touch it, it’s quite soft and padded. The size is as expected, and I don’t think I was prepared for how large it was going to be. This could be a hallway runner if you have a cat like mine who is more of a horizontal scratcher. Very sturdy even placed down on carpet. It doesn’t move around on its own, and it doesn’t pull up when my cat scratches on it, despite not being adhered or nailed into the floor. The weaving is gorgeous! No pulls or snags are visible despite my cat using it several times a day for over a week now. He loves it. I love it. You and your cat(s) will love it too! Also, this would be great for a multi cat home as due to its size multiple cats can effectively leave their scent and commingle their scents together, easing any cohabitation anxiety, and allowing for effective bonding.

I didn’t need to hang this on a wall, but I’m traveling with my cats and I need to provide them places to scratch and play with catnip toys where they’re not going to destroy the furniture and this serves that purpose on the floor as well. It’s very durable and laid flat very soon after I unrolled it. My cats enjoy sleeping on it and scratching it, so it’s working out well on our trip. Most of all, it rolls up and I can pack it up for the next stop quite easily.

This wall-based climbing scratcher is a good looking addition to my pantry door. This is a really nice sized scratcher that reached close to the top and bottom of the door. After mounting, I put a couple of spring toys on it for the cats to yank off for playing and they loved that. It held up well with their weight and didn't stretch. For mounting, I chose not to use the nails. Instead, I got two short 1-3/8 over the door hooks and zip tied the two holes to the hooks. Then I turned two other door hooks upside down and slid them on the bottom of the door. Zip tied the bottom two holes to the bottom hooks. To keep it tight horizontally, I used plastic swivel hooks in the 6 eyes on the scratcher and used a long velcro strap from those hooks across the back of the door to tighten it snug.Missing star: My cat was able to pull hard enough to create a few fabric pulls pretty quickly (sharp claws and high strength). Note that she is really tough on scratchers.Bottom line, I'd order it again.

I live in an apartment so I can't fix it into the walls but draped it over my couch and he loves climbing up the back of it and ambushing me. It fills the empty space my couch cover left open. We're both happy with this product!

This wall climbing carpet is so thoughtfully designed. The carpet is a plush pad that kind of looks like jute but it's quite soft and just thick enough for cats to really sink their nails into. It's also very well made with nice stitching and it has a dotted back that prevents it from sliding. I tried it out on our ceramic and hardwood floors and it didn't budge.I also really like the color which manages to be neutral without looking like sad beige. It's a warm wood tone, which is probably why it reminds me of jute, and it looks great in the primary room of our house which includes a lot of natural wood.I still plan to hang this scratcher, but one of my cats instantly stretched out on it the moment I rolled it out, and he's been laying on it daily ever since. Like, it's part of his routine: Wake up, eat something, go lay on that scratcher. He's just so happy and content, I think I'll feel bad moving it, especially vertically (though he has more than enough horizontal soft things to lay on). But that is my own issue to figure out!I also appreciate the scratcher came with hardware, including anchors, as well as some heavy duty tacks. It even includes the drill bit you’ll need! It's also the exact width necessary for attaching the screws to wall studs, which is really thoughtful since that's the most sturdy option.

I didn’t get this to mount on the wall—I used it flat like a rug because my cat shredded a kitchen mat I had, and I was tired of the mess. This is way nicer than I expected! It feels like one of those thick, tightly woven carpet samples you’d see in a flooring store, just in a big runner size with a heavy-duty stitched border. It unrolled smoothly, no weird curls or edges, and fit perfectly in the space I needed it for. The quality is legit—thick, dense, and no shedding or strange smells. It feels like it’ll hold up great under daily cat traffic and scratching.I didn’t install it on the wall, but I will say if I was going to, I’d probably want more mounting points than the 6 included. Just a personal preference since fewer anchors can sometimes lead to buckling over time. But used on the floor, it’s stable. Mine is tucked slightly under something, so I don’t know if it would slide around on hardwood, but in my setup it stays put just fine. All in all, I’m impressed—this is a total upgrade from random throw mats or scratching pads.
