I like the fact that it is sturdy. The cat gives it a 5 because he uses it a lot. I was able to train him to scratch only on this post and not my furniture. What I don't like is that the skinny rope it comes with wears out after a month or two. You can purchase new sisal rope as I did, but it is expensive and a time consuming process to replace the original shredded rope.

Bought two, cats love them. They are sturdy, standing full length my medium size cat does not knock it over. Two cats using them and they hold up really well!! Very good product, highly recommend!

A new cat in my life, a tortie no less, and feral as far as I can tell, recently showed up. No apparent experience with indoors at all, but came inside and explored. After some time, I knew she needed a post for the good of all. This one caught my eye because of it's simplicity. And Cinnamon, having never even seen such a thing, exploded onto it. Didn't even sniff it. Simply pounced and consumed. I'd say this Cat Tree is worth it's salt and more. Thanks from both of us. Bene Vivere in Pace et Veritas. SB~

Assembly was relatively easy. Tall enough for small- to medium-sized cats. Sturdy design -- my two cats have been using it daily for several months, and it's held up well. They don't care so much about the dangling piece, but they seem to really like the sisal rope, and it shows very little wear (unlike carpet). Would buy again.

This cat scratching post will, hopefully, fill the void left by the lower posts of my cat's condo that she's shredded to their cardboard centers. The cat scratching post is sturdy, well made, and makes an unobtrusive addition to my cat's corner of the living room. The instructions that came with the post are a joke -- a small eighth of a page that was cut in two so that I had to guess at its meaning. Thankfully, assembling the scratching post is intuitive.

Not a great product in my opinion my kitten has managed to break the base by reaching up to play with the top toys he’s 6 months old so not very big

I purchased this scratching post in April 2021 for my rescue house which is home to 6 adult (4 are 15+ pounds) cats. All 6 of the cats took to this post immediately and after almost 2 years it is finally time to replace it. Pictured is one of the big boys giving it a good workout shortly after installation. I placed in the loft of their house, it is not secured in anyway and I've never found it turned over or even moved very much.The post is the perfect diameter for scratching and obviously (since it's lasted so long) has a good quality sisal rope wrap. I will be ordering 2 this time.

This scratching post could use a heavier wooden base. I picked it because it was tall, but that did lead to a less sturdy post (which means the couch is still their preference). They LOVE the fuzzies on top and in the middle, one of my cats just chomped at it for a while (which was cute and harmless). They really enjoy jumping on top of it, and it makes for a great prop when playing with wand toys! I’ve also taken to putting their stuffed toys atop it, the cats don’t allow toys to remain up there for long and it’s quite cute.The lack of sturdiness isn’t really the fault of the post— it’s as sturdy as it can be for its dimensions. I may wind up cutting a custom base for it, and reinforcing the bond between the post and the board (so it wiggles less?).It was pretty much as expected.

I buy a new scratching post 2-3 times a year for my two cats. They love this post and seem to enjoy that it is a taller post than what I got from a competitor last time. I loved the price of this unit. So,first of all I love the scratching post a lot. I like that it comes in a small box and that the post is cut into two pieces, and it is taller than most other brands. However I did not like the base of the unit which is two pieces of wood held together by the fabric, cut in half. The unit did not come with hardware to screw or secure the two pieces together, so it was bit in sturdy. It comes with a very large washer but I don’t think that is enough to make it sturdy. I think you could buy a couple pieces from the hardware store and screw them in as a good fix to this issue and it will still be worth it!I had the base to my old scratcher and simply installed this post onto the old base. I would love an option to just purchase the post, so I can replace just that piece when the cats wear it down. Thanks for all you do. Great product!

This is THE BEST cat scratching post I've bought ~ and I've bought a lot over the years!!My kitty cat loves it! Its nice and tall so she can really enjoy a good stretch whilst she scratches and sharpens her claws. Its extremely sturdy and the sisal string is great quality ~ nice and thick without shedding any rope fibres.It's really easy to put together. Excellent value for money.One happy kitty cat = one happy kitty cat mommy!
