It comes with instructions and everything you need to collect and mail the sample to the lab. It takes about two weeks to get the results and they provide a lot of information about the cat’s gut health, which can be used to make diet adjustments or add supplements to your cat’s diet.

My older, overweight male cat has struggled lately with constipation and frequent vomiting after some of his meals. I’ve changed his diet several times to no avail.I decided to order kittybiome gut health test to see if it detected any abnormalities in his digestive track.The kit itself was easy to use, easy to follow step by step guide. You do have to take a sample of your kitties fecal matter. So if that bothers you, this might not be something you’d want to try. However, it was easy, and we quickly got it into the sample tube and mailed it off in the pre-postage packaging that was inside the kit box.You set up your kitties “profile” through their site and receive an email in regards to results once they are ready.You’ll get a full layout of what was detected in kitty’s sample-compared to other healthy cats of that age and a copy you can take and talk with your vet in regards to the results. I’ve added a partial photo of my kitties results to give an idea of what you’ll receive-All in all, I was VERY PLEASED with the entire process and recommend giving this kit a try, before upsetting kitty with a car ride to the vet (our cat hates cat rides lol) this can be done from the comfort of your home, which is a HUGE plus.

this is a comprehensive kit in the sense that it tells you exactly how to collect samples, how to register for the service, how to send it in and how long to wait for results.I had to wait around a month. I got an email informing me that my cat's result was ready. you look at the report on their website. the results were very comprehensive, breaking down each type of gut bacteria they tested for. they have a nice summary page to sum up everything you need to know, but also gets as detailed and nitty gritty as you want. It's an expensive service, sure, but it's the first of its kind (at least readily available to the general public) and does a really great job at presenting the gut health evaluation and diet suggestions. I will be buying this kit as gifts for friends!
