The handle broke after 2 months of use. I only scooped twice a week, so got about 16 uses out of it. I wish I would have spent a little more for a better quality scoop.

These scoops are awesome. I have to scoop several boxes 5 times a day and these scoops make it much quicker.

I bought this when my old plastic scoop broke in half. This metal scoop is much more sturdy. It's built really solidly, and I like the shorter handle which allows for more flexibility at cleaning angles inside the box. It allows the litter to flow through it extremely fast as well, which massively decreased the time it takes me to clean the 5 litter boxes for my 10 foster cats (took in a pregnant mother, and fostering a lot of kittens until they can be adopted). I really like this scoop. Now for the issues. The first one, is that the wires are just a little bit too far apart. They allow the litter to pass through fast, but they also allow the little 1/4in chunks pass through too, preventing you from thoroughly cleaning the litter. They should have maybe been spaced about 1/8 or 3/32in apart instead. A slightly slower passthrough would have been worth it for a more thorough cleaning. The second issue is the small lanyard on the handle. It is not removable, and if you don't put it around your wrist or hold it against the handle in your hand, it will drag in the litter (which is nasty). The lanyard should be removable.01/15/2024 - I had to come back and drop this to a 1 star rating. While the above review still stands for it's useability, the durability is extremely lacking. I've had this scoop for about a month now, and today the handle broke off. It turns out it was welded onto only one of the wires, and when scraping some litter in the box where liquid had clumped and stuck against the bottom, the wire gave way and the handle simply broke off. Because I'm fostering a large litter of older kittens, I was using the scoop to clean 4 boxes 1-2 times a day. That'll probably be equal to several months to maybe a years use for the average cat owner. I liked the scoop for the most part, but it's lack of durability makes it so that I cannot recommend this product.

I have 3 cats and I have cracked the plastic one. This scooper is much easier and faster to use for sure
