#1. the camera is trash, it doesnt work for pictures or videos it tries but when u go to download the content its all fuzz or just a blank screen. #2 the camera is way to big (funny it doesnt look that big in the picture) for a cat collar and when u put it on the cat its like a big giant block just dangling in front of him and of course the cat will spend all his time trying to get it off and fighting with it rather then enjoying its usual cat life like it normally does, so any pictures or videos that it would have taken would just be big balls of fur or cat teeth comin atchya. But this camera didnt even capture that. i feel offended that this guy is even selling these to people its garbage do not waste your money.

Ill be back to post pictures, the thing i learned is that you set the camera to take a video then collect the sd card when its dead or used the memory and then you watch on the computer. I wish i could view in real time but i guess that is my only complaint at all....My cats werent happy untill we stared letting them come and go in amd out the back doors as they please... this was not a welcome change for my girls.. anyway ive always wondered what these dudes get up to just outside believe me there is plenty to watch i cannot wait to start watching the videos. Also i must say when i did have questions, i called and the tech was absolutely ๐ฏ nice, easy to get along with, and very informative ๐ A+ all around and i highly recommended this company to any curious pet owners ๐

Very difficult to see when itโs turned on, ready to record, etc. I gave up. Nice light weight though.

The "Cat Camera Collar, No WiFi Needed No APP" promises a unique perspective by letting you record video from your pet's point of view. While it delivers on this basic premise, several drawbacks prevent it from being a truly outstanding product. What I Liked:No WiFi/App Dependence: This is a major plus. Setup is simple โ charge the camera, insert a microSD card (not included), and attach it to the collar. No complicated pairing or app installations are required. This makes it very accessible for less tech-savvy users.Lightweight and Relatively Small: The camera unit is surprisingly small and lightweight, which is important for pet comfort. While my cat was initially aware of it, he quickly got used to wearing it.Decent Video Quality (for the price): The video quality is acceptable for casual use. It's not HD, but you can clearly see what your pet is looking at. The audio recording is also surprisingly clear.Fun POV Footage: It's undeniably entertaining to see the world from your pet's perspective. You'll discover their favorite napping spots, their interactions with other animals, and gain insight into their daily routines. What I Didn't Like:Short Battery Life: The biggest issue is the short battery life. I found it lasted for roughly an hour of continuous recording, which is insufficient for extended monitoring.Limited Field of View: The camera has a fairly narrow field of view, meaning it doesn't capture a very wide angle. This can make it difficult to get a complete picture of what your pet is seeing.Collar Attachment Could Be Improved: The method of attaching the camera to the collar could be more secure. It's a simple clip-on design that could potentially detach if your pet is very active. No Night Vision: The camera doesn't have night vision, so it's only useful during daylight hours or in well-lit environments.Durability Concerns: The plastic construction feels somewhat flimsy and I have concerns about its long-term durability, especially with rougher pets.Overall:The "Cat Camera Collar" is a fun novelty item that provides a unique glimpse into your pet's world. However, the short battery life, limited field of view, and durability concerns hold it back. If you're looking for serious pet monitoring, this isn't the solution. But if you're just curious to see what your furry friend gets up to, it's a relatively inexpensive way to do so.Rating: 3/5 starsAdditional Camera Uses (Beyond Pets):While marketed for pets, this type of small, no-frills camera could have other niche uses:Model Railroading/Miniature Scenes: Attaching it to a train car or other miniature vehicle could provide a unique perspective of a model layout.Science Experiments (with supervision): It could be used to record the movement of small objects in science experiments.Hobby Projects: Could be attached to small RC cars or other hobby projects for recording.Security (very limited use): While not ideal, it could be used as a very basic, short-term security camera in specific situations due to its small size and portability. However, dedicated security cameras are far more effective.Important Note: Always be mindful of your pet's comfort and supervise them while they are wearing the camera. Do not leave the camera on for extended periods.

So my first camera was broken. I believe the MicroSD reader on it was bad. No matter what I did it would light up 5 times, indicating there was no SD card inserted. It wasn't an issue with my card. It was able to be read and written to on both my Windows PC and my MacOS laptop. The manual calls for exfat or fat32. It was exfat but I tried formatting to it again, no luck. I even used the command line to force ably format a 64GB MicroSD to the archaic fat32 standard, cutting my storage in half. It doesn't work in the camera either.Make no mistake, there is a reason you are reading a review with under 4 stars instead of skipping it altogether. This wasn't made my a western company who puts thought, R&D into their product. This was thought up by the Chinese factories as a product. There is no name brand of this size. Hopefully I just got a bad one and the second one will work great like I want it to. There is no QA department here.Which brings me to why I wrote this review. We've been helping out a feral cat. He usually comes like twice a week, but after I bought this camera to see what he was doing. He didn't come back for like a month. By the time I got the chance to try out this camera (which was always sitting on my desk.) It was past the return Window Amazon provides. So instead of returning I was met with info to contact the manufacturer. I called their 800 number. No answer and the voicemail confirmed they were open when I called in PST time. So I called 2 hours later. Same thing happened. So I had to google for an Amazon support number to get help.I'm ordering another with reduced expectations. I was always expecting to put these videos through Premiere Pro. Stabilizing what probably looks bad out of the camera. But if I get another brick I will go scorched earth on this company. With pictures and videos a plenty to steer others the opposite way.I really wish someone like DJI or GoPro made an actual competing product. I would easily pay double to avoid this exact scenario. But that's not what this is.
