I love this pet camera and treat dispenser! The image quality is clear, making it easy to keep an eye on my dog when I’m away. The treat dispenser is a fun feature—my dog absolutely loves it and gets excited every time I use it. There is some lag when the network connection isn’t stable, but overall, the device works smoothly and delivers as promised. It’s a great way to stay connected with my pet and keep him entertained. Highly recommend this for any pet owner looking for an interactive way to monitor their pets!

The Dog Camera, Pet Camera Indoor with Phone App promises to be a convenient tool for keeping an eye on pets, but it unfortunately falls short in the most critical area: connectivity. Here’s a closer look at why this product misses the mark:Connectivity IssuesThe most significant problem with this pet camera is its unreliable connection. Setting up the camera with the app is a challenge from the start, often requiring multiple attempts to establish a connection. Even when the camera does manage to connect, it frequently disconnects, rendering it nearly useless for real-time monitoring. This problem is particularly frustrating for users who want a dependable camera to check on their pets remotely, as it can go offline without warning.Video Quality and FeaturesWhen the camera does manage to stay connected, the video quality is decent. However, this becomes irrelevant if the connection cannot be maintained. The app offers some useful features, such as motion detection and playback, but these are hampered by the connectivity issues. In many cases, users find themselves unable to access these features due to repeated disconnections, making it impossible to rely on the camera for any kind of continuous monitoring.Battery Life and Standby ModeWhile the camera claims a 15-day long standby battery life, this aspect is hard to evaluate fully because of the frequent disconnections. Many users report having to reset the device constantly, which can also drain the battery faster than advertised. This issue compounds the camera’s lack of reliability and makes it difficult to trust it as a dependable monitoring device.App PerformanceThe app itself is another area that needs improvement. It’s often slow to load and doesn’t handle reconnections smoothly, meaning that when the camera does disconnect, it can take significant time and effort to get it back online. Users expecting seamless, user-friendly access to their pet camera will likely be disappointed.Pros: • Decent video quality when it works • Useful features like motion detection and playback (when accessible) • Compact and pet-friendly designCons: • Persistent connectivity issues make it unreliable for remote monitoring • App is slow, glitchy, and doesn’t handle reconnections well • Frequent disconnections lead to frustration and decreased functionality • Battery drains quickly with frequent resets and disconnectionsFinal VerdictThe Dog Camera, Pet Camera Indoor with Phone App falls short of its intended purpose due to severe connectivity issues. For pet owners looking for a reliable way to check in on their pets, this camera is likely to cause more frustration than peace of mind. The camera’s decent video quality and features are overshadowed by its inability to stay connected, making it difficult to recommend as a dependable solution.

We had a previous version of this device and it served us very well for over a year, but my husband ended up breaking it by accidentally dropping it down the stairs so we had to get a replacement. This new version is even better! We use this little guy to watch over my cats if we go out of town for a couple of days and can’t find a sitter. This pet camera is so much more than just a monitoring device! It’s super fun and easy to use.And it really give us piece of mind when we travel. They have food and circulating water and their litter is automatically cleaned, but I still feel uneasy not knowing how they are doing. The quality is superb and the picture is super clear and the device can give out treats, play with them with a laser pointer and you can talk to them through the speaker. Controls take a little getting used to, but if you play video games like my husband then it’s much easier to get used to. This new version is much better with battery life and responsiveness and the gadget is a total pleasure to use. We both love this little guy and are very happy with this purchase.

It's only been 2 days. Pros: Easy to set up. Better than expected picture quality. Treat dispenser and laser dot are nice touches that work well. I wish the app used facial recognition after the initial login/set up instead of having to physically login all the time. Easy to control and easily goes over doorway thresholds. Cons: Sound kind of cuts in/out but it's not a deal breaker. So far one of my dogs (Dog #1 20 lbs.) just endlessly barks at it, manhandles it and knocks it all over the room and as a result it has some surface scratches and his brother (dog #2 also 20 lbs.) completely ignores it. I checked in on it while I was at work and dog #1 was fighting with it non-stop. To save its life I had to drive it into the bathroom with him knocking it all over the place/turning it around, licking it, etc. and get it behind the door so that I could close the door with it -which I was able to do. He finally got tired of waiting for it to come back out and went to his bed (I have other wifi cameras to monitor my dogs so I can see what they are doing) I think going forward I will only use it with human supervision until he gets used to it being around.. it's a pretty cool item tho.**Update -I wish the lens was glass and not plastic. my dog was able to scratch it and it is no longer clear.
