I've got a 2010 Prius with 200k miles on it. It's been drinking the 0w20 full synthetic, so I've been trying various oil weights for a while. So far, I really like this 10w40 Syn Blend. I've towed 2 times and driven a smidge over 1000 miles and only burnt about 1 quart. Which is super low. I would have burned about 3 quarts on 0w20 full Syn.I do like this 10w40 a lot, but I have been using the 20w50 as my top off oil. So far I've only used about 1 quart of it. (4.4quart is all the car takes)I'm down in Texas. It's up in the 100Fs in summer and last winter, it go in the 16F area and I was quite worried. It seems like it's been ok, but I'd try not to do that very often. I tried to get oil flowing by repeatedly starting and stopping the car.Oil color!!! With 0w20 full Syn, I would go 400-500 miles and my oil would go from clear, to super black! This oil out of the can has a slight brown color to it, even though it looks blue as you're pouring it. It really hasn't changed color at all, at 1000 miles.
