Better Not Say!

This is awesome! I was a little unsure since I was using it on my flat top stove and both sides have lips so it doesn't sit flush.. it took a few minutes to spread the heat across the plate but it did and worked like a champ. I made burgers on the ribbed side, I'm not familiar with cooking with cast iron so I managed to overcook them tremendously but I know it's a learning curve. Once I get the hang of it I think it's going to be great. Both of my sons cook with cast iron and rave about it!It's definitely heavy, so it's durable and built to last. I like the removable handles because I am renowned for grabbing scolding hot handles when pulling pans from the oven or stove top.Having the added wooden plate is a bonus, not only does it look good but it saves time cooking.I highly recommend this!

This rectangular pan is heavy duty and has many uses. It has raised grilling grooves to help the bottom of meat and breads to cook on both side a bit more evenly than the flat pans. The handles are removable so you place this pan in the oven and remove the handles to keep them cool and then replace when removing from the oven. You can use this pan to sear steaks on the stove and then place in an oven to finish cooking, bake pizza in an oven or grill food on the grill. I recommend only using this on an open fire, inside an oven or on a gas or propane stovetop. Because it is cast iron, this pan could scratch a glass top stove. I like that this pan is roomier than more traditional sized cast iron skillets. When cooking fatty meats like steak, the fats stays at the bottom of the pan so that your food does not cook in the fat or oils.

Interesting concept but finish is poor (chipped) and not good quality. Also, handles are not affixed but loose...for such a heavy item it seems dangerous. Returning.
