The main piano on this is very good. I listened to a piano sample from NORD, and the Yamaha YC88, and this Casio sounded better. The Yamaha and Nord had some ringing noise when played (that was heard from headphones- the Yamaha had the worst - to the point of being annoying while listening with headphones on. (Sounded like a tinny ringing noise) I had the same problem with the MODX - all piano samples had ringing noise when I played them. If I took out the ringing noise, I had to lower the treble so much and then the piano sounds were lifeless. I also owned the Korg Nautilus 88 key, and the pianos were a JOKE compared to this - they sounded too ELECTRIC, not WOODY like a real piano. This Casio looks great, feels great, the sustain lasts forever and sounds amazing, and as said, if you are looking primarily for a great piano sound with some good EP's you will not go wrong with this. The only thing I wish this had is more drum samples, but once again if you are looking for a great piano feel, and a great piano sound - this one is one of the best I have heard. I also bought the Kawai Es920 in the past, I didn't get a chance to try it out in depth, because when they sent it to me, 3 of the keys were broken, the counterweights for them fell off - and because of that I would never buy the Kawai again - because it would be a nightmare if taking on a gig from an airplane, and the weights fell off the keys while being thrown onto the plane! The keys on this Casio do not have those counterweights and will probably last many years. My rating is 4 1/2 stars, 5 for piano, but because of lack of drums 4 1/2 stars.
