I can get about 2 summers out of these masks before my horse tears it somewhere. Never had an issue with it rubbing hair off my geldings nose. Looks great feels great and is good quality

Have this for my mini mare who is an appaloosa white and blue eyes so she has to keep something on lost days to try to protect her eyes and this has worked great. She hasn't been able to get it off on her own and it doesn't seem to touch her eyes or face where it shouldn't. Plus it's really cute. Great quality and easy to take off and on.

I’ve had this for my donkey for a year and a half now and it is still in amazing condition.

My gelding has to have his eyes protected from the sun every day. We live above 8000' and as an appaloosa, he is more likely to have his eyes damaged by the UV rays than other breeds. He has 24/7 turn out. I have bought a few of these to keep on rotation. After almost 8 months of heavy use, he finally managed to rip it one of them. Good quality and he doesn't try too hard to take them off. Every now and then he'll lose one in pasture. But I like the fit and quality.

This was a repeat purchase for this exact style mask which fits Arabian head well and is difficult for pasture mates to remove. I used the previous one for 3 years, but it is time to have a spare ready next summer. The price was right!

The Cashel Crusader is sturdy enough for my quarter horse and in rotation with my other Cashel Crusader mask should survive the summer. I keep two so that I can wash them once every week or so to keep the dust and hair to a minimum. He has high cheek bones and another brand of mask wore the hair right off even with soft fabric added. The Cashel sits a little longer on his face and I don’t have any problems with hair loss.I like the addition of the “designer” fabric and I hope that they continue to innovate and make this line. The mask is soft enough not to rub without the faux “fur” edging (on other brands) which is far too warm for 100°+ summer temps. My quarter horse does rub his head and his mask has some wear spots but is holding up well. If your horse destroy masks, this might not be a good choice. My draft cross can destroy one of these masks within a day or so. (He wears the other brand of mask that rubs the hair off of my quarter horse. The sturdier brand is Kensington.)All in all, the designer fabric make these cute, it seems to be cooler for the horse, and the cut and structure of the Cashel Crusader Designer Fly Mask works wonderfully for my less destructive horse.

I recommend this fly shield for your horse. The fit is perfect and it washes well in the washing machine. My horse is an Appaloosa with pink skin around her eyes. She is at risk for skin cancer. Not only does this mask keep the flies from her face, it also works as a sunblock. I especially like the choice in colors.
