This polyethylene foam really supports heavier items without very much give. Really worked great for my needs.

For ultimate concealment, I use a laptop bag. I pick my bags up from a local thrift store, clean them up, and use this foam for my guns. Laptop bags come with some padding and a sturdy construction already, plus pockets for utility. I add this foam to the inside, plus the velcro straps that laptop bags have. Works like a charm.

This foam is a little pricier than I was hoping, but for the quality, it's understandable. It is closed cell foam, so it doesn't soak up liquids and it's fairly firm/sturdy, so it can be used for all sorts of awesome crafts. My only complaint is that it's standard for the thickness to run large. For example, 1" thick foam is actually closer to 1 1/8" thick. Not too big of an issue, but in my case, I needed it to be exactly 1" thick and slicing the foam was tricky. I just used placed 1" thick pieces of wood on all sides of the foam as guides and used a really thin wire/string to cut through the foam (sawing motion). Other than the thickness issue, great product. Will likely buy again.

This foam is great for using in storage cases. It's dense but still easy to work with.Im using the foam to install in a gun case.It holds everything securely.

Got the 2” actual depth 2 1/8”. Used this foam to secure a cordless set of Dewalt drill and impact in Dewalt DS130 case. This foam was easy to cut and remained sturdy even in the thinner cut areas. I recommend using a box cutter type blade vs a utility knife to get a better first cut to the depth you want vs having to cut multiple times to get the right depth. I cut down to about 13x11 to have room for 3 x 5 amp hour batteries off to the side nice and snug. Will buy again for another case I’m working on for my lesser used tools

This foam arrived in good condition - no defects. It was slightly bowed from storage/shipping so I had to press it overnight to straighten it out. The size was not exact - 15.75 inches instead of 16 inches. otherwise, this is as advertised. The foam is fairly rigid and cuts easily with a razor blade. While trying to glue it to itself, spray adhesive did not work well, but a hot glue gun worked great.

I was really kind of nervous about the whole cutting thing that wasn't with the cubes. I didn't need to fear! i got such a great fit and safety net for my Garden of Creation wand. I wasn't going to put a piece in the lid but because it will travel I decided to. I will be cutting more velvet to cover that piece soon.It was so easy to draw on and cut and get a good secure fit. I will be getting more for future use.

If you are looking to replace the crappy soft, falling apart foam that came in your gun box with sturdy, firm foam that comes with really expensive guns then this is what you are looking for. This stuff is awesome. I had been looking for this for a long time. This is it.The dimensions are slightly off though. I ordered the 1.5" inch thick 12"x16" The actual measurement is 1 and 5/8ths. Just about almost 1/8th thicker than 1.5". It is exactly 12" but it is about 1/8th of an inch short of 16". Not a problem for me as I plan to cut it down to box size anyway. But the extra 1/8th in thickness might be a problem. I will update after I get the firearm shape cut out of it. If that is as easy as others say and I end up with a professional looking job then it is a home run. We'll see how it cuts.
