Really pleased with how this works. It didn't come with any directions for putting the handles together, but I felt it was pretty intuitive and it went together well. Make sure you tighten the handle piece connections, though or it gets a little weird to handle. Using this, and my vacuum, my carpet looks SO much better and even a bit fluffier. Really glad I got this and gave it a try!

It certainly picks up cat hair, so it does what I need it to do. It went together easily, and seems to be quite sturdy. Not sure how well it works on slightly higher pile carpet. I tried it on there and wasn't getting much, so either my weekly vacuuming is paying off or it works better on low pile. Let's go with the former. I think it would probably work well on furniture too, but be careful using it around seems, I think the little whatevers that are on the brush could potentially get caught in those and pull them a bit.

The puppy we got is allergic to the medication so he started shedding real bad about the rake and rake the carpet and then vacuum it to get it all up. I’ll give it a 100. You’re definitely buy again.

I needed a carpet brush that would lift the fibers. This one did not fit the bill. It was returned.

I didn't have high hopes for this carpet rake, but I was pleasantly surprised! I did not connect any of the poles, so I can't comment on how well they go together. I'm using this as a handheld tool instead (it was easy to use). I feel like I can get a better grip (and put more pressure) on it that way.I have 2 Pomeranians, both with long and fluffy hair (one is black and the other white). So I assumed there would be some embedded hair in my carpets, but I didn't realize how much! In the picture, I'm using the size 8 women's slipper for scale. I pulled that big ball of hair out of a bedroom carpet, which had been vacuumed 2 days prior! I went around and did the majority of my area rugs too, and I got big balls of hair out of them too. It was fun lol! I took one star away because the tool tends to create some static. So some of the piles of hair coming off the carpet get stuck in one spot. I solved that by using a small wire dog brush on that area. It lifts up the leftovers that are clinging for dear life to the carpet.I also used this tool on one of my larger dog beds that my black Pom uses, and it took the hair right off.I recommend doing a small test area (and using the tool gently) on any given material before going crazy with this. The metal rake can pull/tear at some materials as it's kind of sharp.I didn't get to try this on my carpeted steps yet, but that's my next task!

I’m giving it 4 stars as I wish the rack itself wouldn’t move around so much, if it stayed straight and level would be a total of 5 stars. I am a multiple pet house, with both dogs and cats with some carpeting. You never realize how much hair still gets stuck in fibers when you just vacuum. This helps get in the fibers and take out the stuck on hair. I have a smaller version, that I used on my cat trees / furniture with great success. It was a no brainer to want to get this and see how much easier it makes carpeting cleaning. Assembly was easy, height was perfect, I am just under 5’5” and it easy comfortable and functional.

Honestly the concept of this tool is really neat. And I bought it thinking two things:1. It would protect our new vacuum from doing too much work and wearing down too quickly due to cat hair and my hair (ever had to give a vacuum a haircut? IYKYK!).2. It would help me reach the outer edges of the rooms that don’t get hit often and build dust and look hideously disgusting. In both of those aspects, it’s done acceptably. It requires a little more effort than I would have liked, but seeing as this won’t be a weekly-used-item that’s not a huge deal breaker. It can also be a little unwieldy if ANY of the pieces aren’t fully screwed in, so if you’re having a hard time controlling it, make sure all your pieces are fully locked in.My biggest complaint is that it’s very hard to use on well-travelled carpet. It CAN be done but it requires FAR more effort than I’m willing to put in. But again, we have a nice new vacuum to pick up that slack.I’m not displeased, not overly thrilled. It’s a fine product, but if it breaks, I’m not sure that I’d ever buy another.

The top section of the handle does not screw into the base further than what you see in the photo. This makes it that when you try to use the broom, it makes cracking noises and sounds like it’s going to break. No matter what I do, I cannot get it to screw into straight and all the way in.
