My cats didn't like to be brushed until I bought this. The brush is so easy to clean. The gloves makes for a happy kitty being brushed while petting.

My cat HATES being brushed. He is half British Shorthair and he has a ton of thick soft hair. He is unable to groom himself enough before he is miserable with hair balls.To combat his hair he gets a bath about every 6 weeks. I have a pet hair dryer brush that does an excellent job. It is very similar to the brush included in this set. It may be a bit more aggressive however.In the past I have only ever had a right handed glove. I expect the same slow decay with this set. My old glove started dropping its nubs. It is plastic after all. I don't know how may years I will get from this set but I love having a pair of gloves. I can swipe his body faster going at him with 2 hands. There is a time limit to his tolerance of getting brushed so speed and quality of brushing is of high importance. The gloves are really doing an excellent job of hair removal. The brush is interesting on his tail. He hates it but man it gets a lot of hair off in a couple precious strokes.Totally recommend this.Go easy on that brush for cats. It is aggressive. I suspect after a few strokes with it, it would become like sandpaper. Get your best strokes in a place and move on.Photo is of my cat Loki so you can see what kind of thick hair we deal with.

I had grooming gloves in the past that worked great but it was hard to remove the hair, so I tried a combo thinking, if the cats don’t like the brush or if it doesn’t work well I’ll have the gloves and deal with it. Well, not only do my cats love the brush, it is super easy to get the hair off. The gloves work too, but the cats love the brush and it’s too convenient to not use. Would absolutely recommend to any cat owner.

Purchased mainly for the self cleaning brush, but the gloves were a knock out, we have lots of community cats and they love them, easy way to pet them without getting your hands dirty. The brush works very well, and has done a great job at keeping our cats soft, while also helping us keep the cat hair to a manageable amount.

The product itself is ok, nothing special, but adequate enough to be worth what you paid for it. However, I think people should be aware this MIGHT NOT BE THE BEST CHOICE FOR YOUR PET! I just found out the Hard Way that "MY" cat does not like brushes with metal tine bristles, even with little plastic tips on them. My cat went from sitting on my lap as I brushed him once with his new brush, to flipping over, sinking all his claws into my arm, and burying his fangs into my arm and hand! Apparently, the brush over-stimulates him, I know it wasn't hurting him. Something I wasn't aware of with this cat. I've brushed him but always used a soft bristled brush with no problem. As far as the gloves are concerned, they are probably all right but I'm a little gun-shy right now so will wait for a while before I try those.

one size does not fit all. I may cut the fingertips off so i can actually wear it comfortably. It did remove a lot of hair, but since it doesnt fit well on my hand, my cat cant decide whether she likes it or is overstimulated by it

These items were very cheaply made. The brush bristles were bent, plus the side seams on both pairs of mitts were coming apart. I returned them and are looking for better quality.

My 9 year old white cat has never enjoyed being groomed. The random shedding all over the house has been so bad. I purchased this set thinking the gloves would work but she shied away from those. The brush, on the other hand, has been a game changer. I don't know what makes it different from others I've tried, but she absolutely loves being brushed now. Now she is happy to be brushed daily and the shedding is at a minimum. I can now leave the house in a pair of black pants without being covered in white hair. I'm happy and Sophie is happy.
