I guess when you take the 95 percent used left half of one old one and the 95 percent used right half of another old one and put them together you get a working one that lasts for very few kilometers. Should have bought a new one from the Ford dealer, might cost 2000 instead of 800, but i bet it will last more than 6000 km. I am out 2100 dollars for the parts and labor, and now i got to do it all again.

Once I got around to doing the work (never fun) I approached the use of a refurb rack optimistically. Once I was finish and it worked and ll in-dash warnings were gone without any reprogramming I was ecstatic. I did ForScan the "AS BUILT" file to clear the DTC but did not have to write anything files. The money saved is CRAZY not only by doing the work myself but also buying this one vs. others available online or from Ford. BUY IT!!!

Had the dreaded no power steering in my 2011 Fusion. This rebuilt power steering rack was exactly the right fix. After installation I reflashed the new part to my car's as built data, using Forscan, and all works as it should.

Buyer Be-ware! Purchased from Amazon Canada. Lasted only 6 months or about 5000Klms and failed. Amazon Canada would not support warranty request and Manufacturer would not support warranty as they said Amazon has to submit the warranty and not deal directly with the purchaser. As a purchaser I am out $1000.00, and the $400.00 installation costs and now have to purchase another one and reinstall. Certainly will not be from Amazon.ca or Cardone

Part lasted 1 month in the car before failing, support wouldn't do anything because it was past the 30 day return window. Was hung up on multiple times trying to find the information for a return, part was paid through affirm and didn't even make through finishing the payments. Absolutely horrible experience, do NOT buy this product!

Works just like the old one . I got it on prime days for a great deal . Be sure to flash it after installation. It’s not a bad job just looks harder than it really is. On the v6 you do not need to take off the exhaust or the mount that goes from the motor to the cradle just unbolt the flex pipe. You will have to pry it down the cradle with a 2x4 leave the front bolts on with a few threads I had to take back ones off. Better than fighting no power steering .

Bought it and had it installed by a mechanic, the steering rack is already making noises and is on its way out after 4 months. Learn from my mistake, buy a new one.
