These worked just fine on a parting operation on 304S that I had to make 100pcs. And they worked well both with oil or without. No noticeable wear at all in that time on a manual lathe with hand feed. Along with no chipping, welding or other problems. I would predict they would be really good on a CNC lathe and much more versatile.
