I haven't had a chance to use them yet - thankfully - but having them handy gives me peace of mind in case of an emergency. They are small enough that I can keep them nearby in the car. The spring loaded feature is good (no force needed to use), and the added seat belt cutter is a must.

I used to keep another style of one of these on my keychain until TSA took it away. Since then, I've been looking at how I could keep one of these in the car and make it both accessible and unable to be tossed out in case of an accident since I can no longer keep one on my keychain. Glove box and other storage compartments might not be accessible if my seat belt locks down, and it might get thrown from the car or even just out of reach if it's stored loosely or even in a compartment. So I was happy to find these that come with a mount. The mount is very sturdy and holds the gadget tightly. While there is a chance that this could be knocked off it's mount or that the mount itself could be knocked free (it attaches with adhesive), it's sturdy enough that I don't really have that worry. It would have to be hit pretty hard in my opinion. Keep that in mind when you decide where to mount this. The caps are kind of hard to remove. It's nice that they won't fall off on their own, but in an emergency situation, most of the time you lose your dexterity/fine motor skills and struggling to get this cap off when maybe you're underwater or otherwise trapped is not ideal. So I wish they weren't so tight. I'd rather they fall off, honestly, because you can't cut yourself on the seat belt cutter regardless and you can't access the hammer spike unless you are pressing it up against something very hard, so the caps aren't really necessary. I might even just remove mine to save myself the hassle. And last but not least, the hammer spike. They claim it's tungsten steel. I wouldn't know. Unlike my last gadget like this, once you deploy the spike, automatically resets itself, so unless you take the thing apart, you can never see the spike to even know what it's made of. So I hope they are being honest about the material. My last one had a steel spike, but wasn't tungsten and of course thankfully I never had to use it to find out if it would do the job or not. Assuming it will do as it claims, I am happy to have this in my car for extra peace of mind, just in case. And if you think something like an underwater scenario will never happen to you, I bet if you asked those poor people in Baltimore if they ever thought the bridge would collapse, they would say the same. You just never know.

I haven't had to use this yet but I like how small and convenient it is. I was able to store it right in the drawer next to my steering wheel. Hopefully I never need it but it makes me feel safer knowing I have it.

I like that this emergency tool is compact and subtle. I have it secured within reach in the car, of course I hope to never have to use it, but it’s good to have at hand in any vehicle for safety.

I like the size and quality of the product. Brackets are an added factor which are helpful for placement. These were a gift and I plan to gift myself with them. It’s comforting to be ready for an emergency situation
