In order to get the sensor out of the sun and away from engine heat the wire needs to be long enough to get the sensor under the front bumper. This one is too short by a factor of four.Unless you are happy putting the sensor in the sun, like on your mirror, this simply won't work.

I recently bought a '06 jeep wrangler and due to the vintage, it did not come with an installed thermometer. All of my other vehicles have one and I wanted one for the Jeep. I found this on amazon and thought I would give it a try. It has worked out very well. As you can see from the pics, the display sits nicely on the dash. I was able to find a good place to mount the sensor and I was able to hide the wire in the windshield. Very satisfied.

The wire that goes to the outside for the temperature is to short.Not able to use it.Had one before and the wire was longer on it.

Price point is good but the accuracy is not even close. So really not that useful. No instructions on how to accurately install so the point of being able to read outside temperature is moot.
