I live in Buffalo. This is the best ice scraper ever ever used. Works even on thick ice. Plastic handle is like most plastic handles, will break under certain circumstances. You can jam it into a pvc pipe if it breaks, or have backups.

The ice scraper works perfect for scraping ice off windows. It has a nice thin edge that can get under the ice and scrape it without scratching.

Broke on literally the first use. And it wasn’t even a hardcore ice coating. Just basic scraping. The plastic part holding the metal edge snapped off. Don’t buy.

Should be able to put more stars. This is the best scraper I’ve owned. You have to only move it in one direction (away from yourself-just push forward). With each push it makes a completely clear window free of frost instantly. It takes half the time to clear frost from your window and makes it an easy chore. I really love it, even gave my husband one.

Just got it few days ago and being using it every morning since its cold and my windshield gets frosty. The frost is light so I don't know how effective it is in snow but it works great on a light frost when the windshield is hazy. Like some complained, wish the brass blade was a slight longer (possibly an inch more would be good). I also like the other side which is all plastic to scrape off the access frost. When it snows heavy, I can use the plastic side to scrape off the snow and use the brass blade side to scrape off the excess frost to get a clear windshield. So far I like it and the price seems good for set of two.

I'll be honest with you, when I saw this item I felt cheated. I wanted to return it right away. Then when the first big storm came around and the frost set in. I'm glad I kept it, you'd be surprised what a difference a brass scraper can make. Took the ice right off, and better than any plastic I had used in the past.

Had a brass scraper many years ago. Bought locally and lasted over ten years before plastic handle broke from my abuse on tough ice. Used plastic scrapers because that was all available. Plastic scrapers loose their edge in a season. Glad to find these again. Easily cuts thru frost. Long handle better than the first one because I drive trucks.

These windshield ice scrapers work awesome! The brass scraping edge does a great job on ice and snow without scratching the glass. I love the long handles which make reaching far easier. The scraper has a plastic edge opposite the brass which acts like a shovel and prevents ice scrapings from getting on the glass. I would highly recommend this windshield scraper.
