This is a fantastic tool. It quickly and easily removes ice and snow; I should have purchased it years ago. Necessary for all in snowy Icey climates.

I purchased this tool in preparation for winter so it has not been used yet but just by holding it, I can tell it's going to be a pleasure to use and will last a long time.

Story Time.My pavers in the backyard had become overgrown a bit. So needed to remove the grass growing between them and over them. Third photo is a shot from middle of project to give an idea of what I was removing. My trusty flat head shovel was not as efficient as I would like to scrap the build up off. So checked three local hardware stores. No long handled scrapers to be had. So Amazon it is.It works. My main gripe is that it is just a touch too short to get a good angle of attack to get under the grass and roots. The whole point was to get a tool that I could use without bending over or squatting.I am sure this will do a nice job on any ice build up we get this winter as well. Since this seems to be half marketed as an ice breaker/scrapper.Pro'sCame sooner than expected.Decent construction and materials so far.Really like the D handle on the end. Gives a better tool handling experience than the straight handle on my flat head shovel. This was one of the main reasons I gave this one a go.Con'sIts just about a foot to short. Maybe a foot and a half. To get the best angle of attack you have to hunch down or squat a bit.For the perfectionists out there it does have an odd "cut" on the blade(seen in second photo). I found it just a bit weird as I could not think of a design reason for the uneven blade. Maybe I am missing something on that.Short version.Its decent, just a bit short on the handle to do the job standing upright. Worth a try if you think you have a job for it.

Had a great buildup of ice at the end of driveway. This ice breaker made it easy to get it broken up. It’s very sturdy and has some weight to it. I’m 73 and it worked it wonderfully. Instead of breaking the tips of my snow shovel this ice breaker made quick work of ice and my snow shovel was saved from harmful bashing trying to break the ice. Do yourself a favor and get one.

This tool is awesome.I have spent a lot of time this winter trying to break up ice. I have broken a hoe, damaged a couple shovels and even resorted to mauls and sledge hammers.Honestly, this tool beats them all - including my trusty Razorback scraper.I was concerned that the handle was too short but I did not understand that I would not be using it the same way as the Razorback. The "D" handle absorbs some of the impact and lets me get a little better grip. The tool is heavy duty - it has a steel "pipe" for the shaft and the blade is welded on well and seems to be gusseted. It's not going to break.I am also very happy with the customer service from the vendor.Given all the blizzards we have had in the Sierra this year, there were delivery issues.Jimmy provided top notch customer support.I will be recommending this tool to my neighbors.

This is really the perfect tool for releasing ice from walks and driveways. In a cycle of show and refreeze ice becomes really entrenched and it can't be removed with the shovel or even the snow blower (i broke a shear-pin on an ice chunk). This blade can crack (used like a ice pick) or more importantly shim under the ice and chip it off in big sheets which can be easily scooped up with the snow shovel. The D-shaped handle is comfortable for ramming, and the overall tool is super-sturdy heavy all-metal construction. I never knew what a difference the right tool could make.
