The beater I sometimes drive doesn’t have bluetooth so I was hoping to use this for audiobooks/podcasts. However…Strangely, the volume controls work only while in phone calls — when listening to other audio, the up/down become fwd/back. I was able to make a minor improvement by initiating a call, boosting the volume to max, then going back to my podcast and controlling volume only from the phone. Still, the volume isn’t the best. Any amount of traffic noise (over basic road noise) makes the device tough to hear clearly.Only fair to mention:* The truck I use this in is an old beater and is pretty noisy all by itself. A newer car is likely to not allow in as much road noise as this beast.* I do like that this device clips to the visor, keeping it out of the way.* I also like that it senses movement (bumps/vibrations) and automatically reconnects — this works surprisingly well. As soon as I open the car door, I hear the device make its “now connecting” announcement.
