This car dashboard anti slip mat works ok. It does not hold as strong as advertised. When in the car and doing a turn the phone slides off.

I'm very pleased with this mat. I like that it is super flexible so you can use it on parts of your dashboard that aren't completely flat. My dashboard has lots of curves and doesn't have a lot of flat areas, so this was just perfect. The under side of the mat is very sticky which is great to keep it in place. The top side of the mat is also a bit sticky, which is good for keeping things on top of it, but it isn't overly sticky so the objects you put on top will be fine and won't feel gross. It works so well that I can put pens and pencils on top of it and they don't roll or move around at all while driving. These are also reasonably priced. I think that these are a great deal and is just perfect for my curvy dashboard. I highly recommend this mat!

Not quite was I was expecting. This mat is EXTREMELY sticky and will most certainly adhere to any surface you apply it to, no matter what the angle. For my purposes, however, it is simply too sticky to be useful. I have a Golden Retriever dog who rides up front in the car with me and, like all dogs, he sheds, and this sticky mat would quickly be covered with his discarded hairs and look more like a fur patch on my dash than a useful place to place things. It might be of use to those without a dog in their car, but it would depend on the intended use of the mat.I will give the product 5 Full Stars, since, just because it isn't useful in my case, doesn't mean it might not be useful in others.

This is a large mat - way larger than what I need, so it's convenient to cut down to size. It cuts easily with standard scissors. If you plan to keep the plastic cover to recover the mat at some point, I recommend that before you remove it from the sticky pad, that you write THIS SIDE UP on both the front and back pieces so that you always put it back on with the correct side touching the sticky. As with many plastic covers like this, one side releases pretty easily, and the other sticks. This does work well to keep items from sliding, but don't count on it holding items vertically or even on a steep incline. They will stick well and then eventually fall off. To be fair, this mat didn't advertise that you could hold items vertically, but many similar mats do make those claims, and I have yet to find one that reliably holds items on a wall or other vertical surface. That being said, it does its job well. One side is smooth and has a much stronger stick. The other side is textured, making it easier to remove your items. Typically, you would put the smooth side down. If your object sticks a little too much, just twist it instead of pulling it, and it will release much easier. To wash these, for the most part, what you're really doing is removing the accumulated lint & dust that is sticking to the surface, preventing other items from sticking well. Place the mat in some water or just hold it under the faucet and rub the lint off with your hand. I haven't noticed any sticky residue with this mat, however, I have used similar mats in the past and they are prone to breaking down in the heat. So, if you are using this on the dash of your car, keep an eye on it, and if it starts to leave any stickiness on your fingers if you tough it, just remove the whole thing and replace it with a fresh piece.

I unpackaged and inspected this silicone car dash mat. I have the following issues with even attempting to use this product for the purpose it's marketed for: 1) the adhesive on both sides of the mat is unknown to me, therefore I'm highly concerned about the mat's sticky layer affecting or degrading my car dashboard vinyl where I place it. 2) The top of the mat (the side with an embossed diamond pattern) has adhesive and will collect dust aggressively in any car, and because the mat is shiny, you will see every dust particle. Since the adhesive has a lot of "tack" I expect that you can't simply rinse dust off in water. When I ordered this I expected that the top side was plain silicone, therefore you could at least wash off crud, but having adhesive on the top makes it unacceptable to use. Also I don't want random things such as papers or insects to stick to the adhesive. The quality of this product appears fine: good thickness of material, and well made. But having too much, too tacky and unknown adhesive makes it something I don't want to use.

I was honestly surprised by this mat... I was expecting a stiffer mat that had a textured surface. But I received a very flexible mat that I was able to easily place and went with the curves and angles of my dash easily. And the surface is actually sticky. Not the sticky that makes your hands feel gross but the good tacky that lets you know things will stay in place. I'm very happy with it, it has worked great and I expect it will continue to. A great find!

During a rainy spell, I spent my time assembling electronics kits with soldering iron as a way of improving my soldering skills.I used a magnifier to better see the components but the kits have a way of skidding around the work surface and I lose sight of them in the magnifier. This sticky silicone pad is intended to hold a phone on the dash of your car and I bet it works well for that because it is very sticky. However, I used it on the base of the magnifier to hold the electronics kit still while I apply the solder.I cut it to the size of the magnifier base and pressed it into place where it really sticks. The film that covers the pad must have a release agent because one side releases easy but the other sticks with a vengeance and is difficult to remove. I kept the film to protect the pad when not in use. The remaining portion will be used in a smaller magnifier.Stickiness easily ranks 5 stars.
