I picked up this with an online recently (see my review there), and while I began my journey with this grip already on the camera, it has been an excellent accessory right from the start.WHY I LOVE IT:- Allows for comfortable portrait shooting- Easy settings adjustment with corresponding dials- Extra tripod thread- Being genuine Canon, it perfectly matches a2e finishReally, if you own the a2e and don't have this grip already, NOW is the time to buy. These were almost 3 times the price when they first came out, and now cost the same as off-brand grips for current generation cameras. There really is no contest between the quality and finish of this as compared to third-party grips, and I am completely happy with the way it functions. Highly recommended!

I'm getting into 35mm semi-pro photography for my growing family. I'm using an A2 (take note: A2 is a better product than the A2e, google it) with a Canon 28-200 EF US lens (some don't like it, but it's versatile), which means that the camera is very front heavy, and awkward to shoot vert pics.What I love about this grip:1) Easy to install2) Finish is great - quality matches the body perfectly3) Has the selector dial & EF lock switch as well as the shutter button4) Is threaded for a tripod5) Balances the camera out perfectly - this aspect could not have been designed betterNote - this is a bit of an investment, but great deals can be had on other certain auction sites (got mine NOS for $20 with shipping). Search for a good deal and you will not be disappointed!
