Incredibly lightweight, the EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM is a fast and versatile lens with advanced AF and superior optics. With a 35mm equivalent focal length of 38mm, it's appropriate for a variety of purposes. The lens features optimized lens element placement and includes an aspheric element for high image quality from the center of the composition to the corners, and has specialized coatings on the lens elements to reduce ghosting and flare. To ensure excellent color balance, a 7-blade circular aperture provides superb out-of-focus detail. The EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM excels during movie shooting thanks to its STM motor that enables silent and smooth focus tracking (on EOS cameras with Movie Servo AF), plus a micro-stepping drive that keeps aperture changes quiet. The lens also offers full-time manual focus, manual AF adjustment (one-shot AF), and can focus down to a minimum distance of 0.5 ft. (0.16m). Ich kann nicht glauben, dass ein so kleines und günstiges Objektiv so große Dinge leisten kann. Ich bin rundum zufrieden. Und angesichts seiner Leistungsfähigkeit war es eine sehr gute Investition.

Excelente lente para fotos versáteis e nítidas! A lente tem um ótimo desempenho em ambientes com pouca luz e proporciona um desfoque lindo no fundo. É compacta, leve e muito prática para carregar em qualquer lugar. Além disso, a qualidade da imagem é impressionante pelo custo. Recomendo para quem quer uma lente acessível e de alta qualidade.

Does the job as a wide lens, I wouldn't really recommend it for professional photography but it works well enough.

First of all, I was amazed at how fast this lens arrived. I'm not a prime member, but I ordered this lens yesterday morning at around 6:00 AM and it was on my doorstep before 6:00 PM! I never had anything arrive so quickly before!Okay, now for the good stuff. The lens was nicely boxed, in bubble wrap, and an additional plastic wrap, so very well protected.Don't be fooled by the low price. This little lens is pretty solid. It appears well built so I'm very pleased with its construction. It's a little tighter to mount than my other Canon lenses, but it is very secure.It does not have image stabilization, but that's not an issue for me (the only lens I own that has it is the 18-55mm kit lens). It does have auto and manual focus. Plus, you can get very close to your subject, almost like a macro lens.This lens may be small, but the focus ring is easy to access. I heard reviews that the STM with auto focus is a bit noisier than the Nifty Fifty, but I did not find that to be the case. The motor is fairly quiet and smooth. I also heard that the auto focus takes longer than normal. When I tried the auto focus through the view finder, it found the subject and focused in less than 2 seconds. In live view, about 4 seconds, which is pretty much what I experience with my other lenses.The photos have been pretty sharp. So far, the "sweet spot" has been at f4.5, but I haven't put the lens through a full test on this. I've only taken indoor photos so far so the real test comes later when I can take it outside and really put it through its paces.For those interested in this particular lens, please remember that it is an EFS lens so it is specifically for a crop sensor camera (I have the Canon EOS Rebel T7). It cannot be used on full frame cameras. Also keep in mind that with an APS-C (crop sensor) camera, you will want to consider the crop factor, which for Canon is 1.6 This means that although the lens is a 24mm, with the crop factor, the photo will look as if it was taken with a 38.4mm. But an advantage is that you will not need to step further back to take a group photo. I had to step quite a bit back in order to take a photo of 5 people with my 50mm, because with the crop factor, the lens acted like an 80mm.Also remember that this is a prime lens, so there is no zoom. But the advantage is that the aperture can open to f2.8. I would have preferred f1.8, but it's still fairly fast so no real complaint.I am extremely happy so far with this lens and look forward to testing it further, but considering that you can pay a lot of hard earned money for lenses, this is a great bargain and certainly a lens that you will want to add to your equipment list.

Ya era un objetivo que le traía ganas desde hace un tiempo, pero por una u otra razón no lo compraba.Pues la verdad es que estoy muy satisfecho con mi compra, muy buena relación calidad/precio!Es un objetivo muy versátil (objetivo fijo), buena abertura (f:2.8)Aunque claro, tiene mucho que ver para que lo piensas ocupar. A mi me gusta mucho la foto documental, y la foto de viaje, y en un viaje no sabes qué se pueda presentar, los escenarios cambian mucho, constantemente. Creo que te brinda las herramientas necesarias para solucionar la mayoría de las situaciones que se te presentan.Por otro lado el tamaño es fabuloso, muy discreto, así no te das a notar mucho!Yo ya sabía bien lo que estaba comprando, lo que me preocupaba era el proveedor. Si entregaba a tiempo, y más importante aún que fuera original el producto. Y así fue! Llego justo el día que estaba programado, de echo llego muy temprano (9am) y yo no estaba en casa, yo me preocupé, pero no hubo problema, al día siguiente en la tarde ya me lo estaban entregando! El producto es original!! Viene con sus sellos y dentro viene la póliza de garantía (2 años con el fabricante).Excelente! Muy contento!

You are gona love this lens !!! Its a do all type lens and the optics are second to none. I use this lens for mainly flowers and plants and the color fidelity and focus is tack sharp . Yes its prime and you have to do the zoom part but over all weather at f2.8 or f16 this lens performs . I would have paid triple what this lens for for what it can do . This lens has taken my photos of flowers from mediocre to extremely wonderful. Its a great lens on a crop sensor cameras. It performs great a s a walk around lens as well, though you dont have a zoom range like on a traditional walk around lens it gives great wide angle shots as well as close ups second to none . The STM focusing is almost silent though you can still hear it a bit great for mid wide shots in video or extreme close ups yet not macro. The color saturation and contrast are awesome yet not over the top. I love this lens for my close up work as well as walking around with it it has almost completely replaced my 18-55mm zoom walk around lens and takes much better shots as well . There is just some kind of magic that this lens does with pictures tack sharp, great color fidelity, awesome at f2.8 as well as all the way out . Its sweet spot I believe is between f5 and f8 though its hard to tell where the sweet spot is because at all f/stops its seems to excel at what ever it is doing . For 149.00 bucks you wont go wrong owing this lens .The only thing I wish I did different is buy it sooner . Great over all lens . With video its also a great lens for mid wide angle shots or close ups as well. The only thing I don't like about this lens is occasionally it will warp the image for certain types of shots this is expected seeing how its a 24 mm lens and is fairly wide angle but its only slight and is barely noticeable . I only see this when shooting shots of the sky and looking at the for ground Its slight but its there. Its a small lens and fits in your bag nicely I just wish it was a bit bigger its would be easier to get on and off the camera . It takes a special kind of twist with the tips of the fingers to pull it off and put it on but no big deal . If you want a great walk around lens that has outstanding optics and is tack sharp buy this lens, if you want realistic close up shots and beautiful color fidelity buy this lens. If you want a compact do all lens buy this lens. It has replaced 2 of my lenses now and it holds a special place in my heart as one of the best lenses in my bag . For a cheap price you get L Series pictures its really that good go for it you wont be disappointed.
