After many difficult walks with unmanageable pulling we were recommended one of these by the RSCPA. Our walks have been so much easier since we got this, it’s a game changer. Once you get the right size and work out how to fit it on properly (which puzzled us to start with) you will never look back and be really glad you bought this!

We have been through so many collars with our 2 year old, 100lb black lab. He does well off leash and even on leash with a harness but occasionally he sees another dog and all training goes out the window. This collar makes it impossible for him to lunge at a dog, which he quickly learned. After only a few walks he doesn’t lunge, he looks at us, which is what we’ve been training him to do. He could get out of it if there is too much slack but I like that it’s attached to regular collar so we can take it off for running and swimming and he is tolerating it much better than the gentle leader. He also didn’t care about a prong collar. I’m really glad we tried this, it makes our walks way more enjoyable!

Wow!! We have an American xl bully who was a nightmare to walk pulled like a train! We tried various harnesses and leads and walking was still a failure. We read about the canny collar and decided to purchase one. Best money ever spent, on our first walk it was a totally different dog. He shook his head a couple of times as we expected but he soon got over this and is now a pleasure to walk. We would definitely recommend this.

I like it because it can control 90% of my dog craziness on pulling. The only thing, I don’t know if it is my fault, the nose part slips out when she starts sniffing things on the floor.

Let me start by saying that this seems like a very good quality product and company, and for many will be just the thing! I have a 135 lb Alaskan Malamute, who, by design, is a very strong puller. Even when he's not being "naughty", it's just his instinct. We've worked and worked on loose leash walking, and most of the time we do pretty well...but the off time when the prey drive kicks in and he decides to go, there is not a whole lot I can do to stop him. I tried a halti head stall (similar idea to the canny) and had decent luck, but it was ill fitting, so I decided to order a new one. After seeing all of the good reviews I went for the Canny instead. The problem is, the way this is designed he can still lean into it and pull, albeit from his face instead of chest or neck. I am able to stop him, but I feel like it's more adversive than I was looking for. With the other head collars, the lead attaches under the dogs head much like a horse halter does. That way when the animal pulls, it automatically turns them around to stop forward motion instead of allowing them to lean in and pull. I think if you started a young dog on a Canny with proper training it would be a really nice walking set, Just realize that it does pull from the back and it does tighten on the snout and neck like a martigale.
