I was using this as a topper for the first couple of weeks, and then my puppy started to get diarrhea and digestive issues so I discontinued it. He also started itching for no reason. I’m sure it’s good stuff, but my puppy wasn’t digesting it properly.

My dog who is a picky deva loves it!! It’s a great healthy additive to her chicken and white rice. I even switched to k9 cuisine dog food. I recommend checking out k9 cuisine!

I bought this for my rat’s shunamite diet and was sorely disappointed to see that the ingredients listed by the seller ARE NOT the same as what’s listed on the bag- perhaps the manufacturer changed it without informing? Idk. Rats should not have spinach in large quantities and this contains a very visible amount of spinach and also no longer has peas in it which was part of the reason it was recommended for rat shunamite diets. It is not returnable or refundable, I am hoping my dog will eat it although I am skeptical about using it after seeing negative reviews here for dogs and if the ingredients are ok for them to have….

The product I received is not the same as what is listed in the description here, and I'm glad for it! Peas have been removed, spinach has been added, and the list of ingredients is completely switched around. The bag looks different, as well. I'm not able to upload a photo, it seems, so I will type out the ingredients listed on my recently purchased bag.Ingredients: (all are dehydrated) carrots, purple sweet potato, beet root, pumpkin, green pepper, spinach, broccoli, celery, apple, tomato, garlic. So, this is still very high in carbs, but I think it's a good source of fiber, vitamins & minerals to add to a fresh food diet. I'm glad they removed the peas, due to all of the studies on dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) that have been going on lately.I ground up the veg mix to make it more into a powder, so that it rehydrates more quickly. I also added nutritional yeast flakes and burdock root powder. I may continue to add things to boost the nutritional value. My dogs seems to like it fine. I add it to a whole raw ground chicken & organ meat mixture. We were feeding the Volhard Dog Nutrition Veggie Pak, but it costs about $2/ounce, so this is a more affordable option (less than half the price). I just wish it were organic vegetables, like the Volhard, but I guess that's where the extra cost comes in. I may just rotate between the 2 mixes. (I also feed Volhard's NDF2 and Rescue Diet, which are excellent foods that you add plain meat to, but these have a calcium supplement added and should not be fed with ground raw bone).Overall, I think it's a good price for what you get and it can always be tweaked to add in other things that your pet might need. Definitely recommend grinding it - it saves so much time at mealtimes!

My dog has been suffering for a long time from recurring bouts of squealy gut, goopy poops... you get the picture. He is such a loving little guy I suffer with him when I see him down. I have been on a mission to find food that he is not sensitive to for two years and have spent tons of money on all the "designer" foods that don't make a bit of difference to him. After reading reviews on Canine Caviar, I decided to give it a try - expecting him to either turn his nose up and walk away, or go through another round of digestive distress. Imagine my delight when he ate every last bit of food that evening and every day since. He polishes his bowl clean. He has the most perfect bm's and is just a happy, peppy boy. I can't thank Canine Caviar enough!

This product has a nice combination of veggies which I mixed into my dogs raw meat. I would prefer it if the veggies were chopped a little smaller but my dogs don't seem to mind (even my little dog that is only 15lbs). It's not cheap but is easy to use. I will continue to purchase it and recommend it to others.

I put the food in a glass dish with water and rehydrated it. When I took the lid off the garlic smell was really strong. I only used a teaspoon and put it on one side, mixed other vegetables in with the kibble. My dog ran to the dish excitedly. She smelled it and walked away. Several hours later she went back and ate everything except the caviar in the corner.

This food is better than I expected. I am a long time user of Sojorner Farms (SoJo's) no grain vegetable mix until they obviously changed their recipe (tho' their retailers say they have not) into a bag full of powder instead of vegetables. This is better than SoJo's used to be, although it contains a slightly different yet no less nutritious mixture of vegetables. Nice chopped vegetables, exactly as advertised. I rehydrate it, mix with my own fresh meat & occasional dairy tidbits & my dogs LOVE it! Wish it came in a larger bag option, so I wouldn't have to order as often. Very pleased with this food!
