Product Description

Raspberry Pi 5 Starter Kit MAX - Turbine White (256 GB Edition) (16GB RAM)

An exclusive Starter Kit from CanaKit that includes the latest generation model of the Raspberry Pi family: The Raspberry Pi 5 and everything you need to get started within minutes in the exciting world of Raspberry Pi! The Raspberry Pi 5 features a 64-bit quad core processor running @ 2.4 Ghz.

The CanaKit Raspberry Pi 5 Starter Kit includes the Turbine White CanaKit Pi 5 Case for the Raspberry Pi 5, with the CanaKit Mega Heat Sink and the exclusive low-noise active cooling fan to provide the maximum heat dissipation solution for your Raspberry Pi 5! The low-noise fan bearing system is extremely quiet and fan is controlled automatically by the Raspberry Pi and turns on only when required as an active cooler. The fan plugs directly into the Raspberry Pi 5 fan connector and mounts right underneath the case lid. The neat turbine look helps with air flow and pass through the large opening on the lid right onto the fan fins which push the air onto the processor, and and then exit flowing through over 50 ventilation holes in the case base. This case is easy to assemble without use of any screws. The easily removable lid provides access to all Raspberry Pi 5 ports such as the camera and GPIO port.

The included metal black anodized heatsink includes five thermal transfer pads pre-fitted on the touchpoints for the main Raspberry Pi 5 chips. The combination of the mega heat sink and the low-noise fan provides both a passive and active cooler solution for your Raspberry Pi 5.

The included power supply supports the typical 5.1V / 5A (27W) power supply that the Raspberry Pi 5 typically uses and all the way up to 45W of power. This provides higher maximum power support for external devices as well as additional Power Delivery modes if used with other devices such as "Super Fast Charging" mode for mobile phones, and makes for an excellent general purpose high powered USB-C power supply. The thick insulated cable and noise filter provide added stability.

I bought the Pi 5 for running software in my ham radio station. I have been having a lot of fun using the Raspberry Pi 5 Starter Kit Max. The kit included everything that I needed in order to get up and running. I have several projects that I'd like to build using the Raspberry Pi 5's in. My next project will be a mobile Ham Radio kit for taking camping and motorcycle touring.

Super easy to put together, boot up and play with. Surprisingly fast too. The photo is of the 128 GB version, I have the 256GB version in white, looks the same. If you drop it, the cooling fins will come off the chips, don't drop it. I tripped over the power cord in a tight area and it was pulled off the table. It works anyway, I just stuck the fins back on and put it back together. No harm done. So far I've loaded Ham Clock on it, a sort of world clock with an image of the world with light and dark areas continuously shown. I also used it to do some ham logging on the internet, and played with the internet application. It works very well.

Raspberry Pi 5 is a good control module. I have learned a lot by learning coding and commands using Raspberry pi Os. I think overall, this is a good place to start, but the case for the module I believe was lacking in design. 4.2

I didn't really need to buy a Raspberry Pi 5 kit. But it was very handy to throw together the parts to test the operation of the Pi. Performs as expected. Case is not quite what I need, but it still allowed a quick test. All in all, the kit provides a decent deal for a Pi 5.

I was pleasantly surprised at the speed and power of this tiny device. Found a YouTube video that verified how to put it together since the instructions were pretty skimpy and I wanted to make sure I didn't assemble the heat exchanger and fan incorrectly. Used it for a calendar app for the family using a browser connection so speed and power are not an issue. The power supply is large given the tiny size of the main unit. The OS (PI version of Linux) is useful and intuitive. Well worth the price.

This CanaKit for the Raspberry Pi 5 is a great item. The price was reasonable. On-line videos showing assembly and startup are excellent. I will purchase from this seller again.

Bought this kit to create a RetroPie 5!Works amazing and I have all the games and platforms I ever wanted on this 256GB microSD card.Systems include generations from the Arcade all the way up to Sony PSX! GameCube works as well, but those .iso images are much larger in size and will require a bigger memory card. I already have a Wii U with HDMI that I softmodded as my Wii/GameCube station.
