Ok, I’ve only used these a couple times now. But I was very happy with its small size and comfort. If it was a bit lighter would be nice for backpacking but very happy so far. I don’t have long term input but initial thoughts are great. One small complaint is the product is coated with a very stinky grease.

I was surprised that it actually was comfortable as well as sturdy. It worked just like the video. I velcroed it to my cane and the added weight is negligible. If it proves durable I would recommend this product.

Comfortable, Lightweight, Easy to use on any sort of ground - for 5 months. Then one of the legs would no longer retract. I did purchase another in the hope that I would be lucky second time round but I don't have a lot of confidence in that decision. No way to contact manufacturer!

This stool was just what I wanted - reasonably small and light weight, yet providing a seat I could use anywhere I wanted to sit and paint. It worked great for a half dozen uses. Then the mechanism broke such that one of the legs would no longer retract or extend.

In looking for a portable chair, I chose this one because of its small size and light weight. While it was easy to set up by pulling out the 4 legs, closing it proved to be more challenging. Some basic instructions would have been nice. Long story short, to collapse the legs, you have to push down on the black plastic ring as the "groove" or concave portion of the leg faces up. This releases a pin and allows the lower leg to slide back in. You'll know you're pushing in the right spot as the ring is spring-loaded and will pop back when you let go. As others have reported, the legs come lubricated with an unpleasant smelling oily coating. Try some 409, Windex or other solvent. Otherwise, it's a solid product that serves its purpose. I'm not really big at less than 150 pounds so I find it fairly comfortable for short stints.Addendum 10/18/23: I just returned from a 3 week trip to Japan and used the chair quite a bit because of some back problems which made it difficult to stand for a prolonged period of time. It was a real lifesaver and worked better than I expected. It was light enough to carry around all day in my backpack and opening and closing it was a cinch. I can't recommend this product enough. I upgraded the rating to a 5!

I've really enjoyed this stool, as it's so quick to employ and serves it purpose in keeping me off the ground. It's held me up just fine every time I use it, and I'm probable 150 lbs. It's been so easy to just pop it out of the bag, extend the four legs, and sit. When I put it away, I just wrap the velcro elastic around the top, and I smack the bottom of all four legs at the same time, which makes the legs go back into themselves quickly. I've had no trouble extending the legs, sitting safely in the stool, or compacting the legs for packing. Some of the other reviews made me a little nervous to buy it, but I'm so glad that I did because it really meets my needs of having a sturdy seat that's easy to use and put away quickly.

Main reason I purchased this was for quick hikes down my local trail when I want something quick and easy to setup! It does not disappoint for quickness to deploy, 10 seconds tops. The weight is decent, the metal used for the legs is fairly thick, the seat cushion feels heavy duty too. I weigh 155 and am 5'10" so the height is perfect and as stated. It does not feel wobbly and I have had no problems with the telescopic legs feeling like they would collapse when sitting on it. I love how portable this is and how secure it feels when setup as well as the speed of setting it up!!!My gripes are with the telescopic legs, while I love this feature they are very finicky to fold back in! And the mesh bag it comes in is cheap, mine frayed and ripped on the first outing. It did however feel like it would collapse in when my friend, who weighs 200 lbs even, sat upon it so I think anyone over 175 should know the limits of this item. Other than that I really like this stool!! Hope this detailed review helps some people out.

My primary use-case scenario is hanging out with toddlers, at parks, stores, picnics, etc.. They like to dilly dally. I view the main competition as the "zero chair", the "BTR stool" and the "Walkstool". If your use-case is similar, then you should get this chair over its competitors for these reasons:- This one has 4 legs, not 3. It is more stable.- The lightweight camping stools (chair zero, etc. ) take way too long to put together. This packs and unpacks in about 5 seconds, with a satisfying click, like putting together a sniper rifle.- This is telescoping, which means it provides good height and packs quickly into a backpack.- I believe this hits the goldilocks zone between the BTR and the Walkstool: lighter than the walkstool and more durable than the BTR chair, and much, much cheaper than both.- Did I mention it was cheap? You could get 4 of these and leave them in the car for the price of the other stools.I am constantly, throughout the day, packing and unpacking this stool as go on small adventures with the kids. This packs and unpacks in a satisfying way and literally saves my ass. I believe Amazon were a real store and you could hold and compare all the fancy stools, the choice would be obvious. However, it's easy to drawn into ounces of weight saving, brand name, etc. when it comes to internet shopping.
