I have never camped with this mat. I got it instead for the floor under my dogs beds. To keep the beds a bit warmer. On cold nights, the floor just seems to seep up and my older dogs are limping. Now, this keeps the cool out better and I haven't seen them limp again on a cold night. I thought I could cut it down into two pieces, one really can't do that.

Very pleased with this insulation pad. Entire pad with bag only weights 6.5 ounces. I plan to cut in half for two separate insulation barrier under my sleeping pad. So at 3 ounces each pad it is a great option to give yourself a little extra protection under your sleep pad and help with a little extra warmth. The pad is very thin, so it will not provide any extra cushion, but will reflect some heat back towards you. Throw it on top of your sleeping bag on super cold nights for more insulation. Has many funtions, but it does appear to be fragile, so be delicate.

I usually take smaller mats to go under our sleeping pads but thought I’d give one large one a go, for us it was better because no matter how much the sleeping pads moved they were on top of the mat, where as with the smaller ones we’d sometimes get cold spots due to the pads moving and not being on top of the smaller mats, this larger one just covered the entire tent floor and weighed about as much as the smaller mats and didn’t cause condensation underneath, so all good.

Mein erstes camping war bei ca 0 Grad und ohne die Isomatte. Ich hab im Beckenbereich extrem gefroren. Beim 2ten Mal campen und bei -5 Grad hatte ich die Aluisomatte dabei und unter der Schlafisomatte gelegt. Ergebnis war eine angenehme Nacht und mir war es sehr warm in meinem Winterschlafsack 😂 Absolut zu empfehlen und das Material sowie die Qualität ist wirklich gut 👍 Wenn man mit der Isomatte ordentlich umgeht, wird es bei kalten Nächten ein treuer Begleiter. Der beste Schlafsack nutzt ohne gute Isolierung nichts,dass hab ich definitiv gelernt 😂🤣

Not the most sturdy material and I can see why others say easily rips when used for camping. I taped many together to create a thermo foam cover for my 6ft by 6ft temporary plastic portable greenhouse. Put on nightly, it helped insulate the space and protect my seedlings when night temperatures would drop and my little space heater kicks on.

Good insulation from an air mattress on cold ground (placed under sleeping bag) and not too noisy. LIghtweight; a bit bulky to fold and store. Looks fragile but it held up fine on first trip. Similar to some car windshield foldable sun protectors, but of course much larger.
