Could not be supportive of a heavy object on sandy ground without putting support under it. For the price this item should be solid 3 inches thick. Am not at all satisfied with this item. Will return and look fpr better quality product.

I needed a pad for a propane tank install, and didn’t want to mess with getting a concrete slab delivered, or worse - having to set forms and mix bags of concrete to make one.I found this on Amazon, it showed to be able to support 1300lbs and could be delivered before I needed it. It actually came 2 days earlier than they first advised.I leveled the area as best as I could with a flat blade shovel and then poured 4 bags of sand to spread under it to ensure it was sitting on a firmly packed base. Because of the design of the ribs under it, I could just step on it and push it into the sand base and then tamp it down as needed to completely level it.The tank installer was happy with it, and I know it’ll serve its purpose well.
