This roller is an easy and accurate roller for counting material length. The roller surface is very easy on the material and does not mar the material as it rolls under the wheel. The wheels fit the encoder shaft with virtually no run-out and are very easy to install. With a circumference of 200mm is a easy set up and with any rotary encoder that has a reasonable number of pulse per revolution, the measurement accuracy is really good. I used a 1000 pulse per rev which was probably over kill but was an easy calibration to get an accurate and repeatable measurement of the material pulled under the count wheel.
