Calphalon is known in the world of kitchen stuff to be well made, long lasting and living up to its reputation. This sauce pan is true to form.Well worth the price point, I've found that anything stamped with the Calphalon logo exudes quality and reliability. For a household of two, this 2.5 qt. size is perfect for most sauce pan applications. Highly recommended.

I purchased this item as a companion to a smaller version, replacing cookware that was 20+ years old. Both Calphalon pans look like they'll last longer than the ones they replaced...even if I don't.

This thing can cook anything in any way (okay aside from fried eggs but whatever). I don't usually leave Amazon reviews but I was just thinking how great this pan is and figured I'd do the right thing. One thousand meals cooked and the pan is carbonized black from all the roasting but functionally it's good as new! Thank you Calphalon!

Pan is light weight not like other calphalon. The lid has bent on one side . It came in a normal carton box not in calphalon box and these made me to think it’s a duplicate product.

if used properly nothing sticks to it and it's better than a nonstick pan

I am happy with this pan. The pan size is ample enough to cook for a small family. The length and depth is normal, not too big not too small. Heavy and classic. Here is the downside- as it is not non-stick so it stick and difficult to clean. Still seeing some stain I don't know why.

I ordered this directly from amazon, not a third party. It's pretty sturdy and heavy, I can't imagine denting it.I basically use it to make tea, I watch the bubble sizes on the bottom of the pot to determine when to remove it from heat. There are are lines on the inside to indicate cups and ounces so I know how much water to add, it looks like it's paint so I'm careful not to scrub it off. The lid does fog up so I have to remove it to see the bottom of the pot. Since the bubbles are uniform along the bottom so I surmise it distributes heat evenly. The handle on the lid is metal so it does get hot so it's highly recommended to use a pot holder or utensil, rather than your bare hand.I do love that there are holes in the lid so I don't have to use tea bags, I can just pour the liquid out and the leaves stay in the pot, even though the holes are largish, the tea I buy is either whole leaf or coarsely chopped so it stays in the pot. This is a bonus for me because I don't like the taste of tea bags. I guess some people might not like the taste of metal, so that might be a concern for some. If I don't leave it in the pot too long it tastes ok.The only thing that freaks me out is that it makes clicking and popping noises as it cools. It kinda reminds me of when cars sometimes make clicking noises when they cool. It sounds kinda pressurized like something is escaping and I worry the bottom may separate from the pot in a rather unfortunate way so I generally stay clear of it while it's cooling. From the groove around the bottom of the pot it appears that the bottom is a separate piece of metal attached to the body.

This is a solid stainless steel pot with graduated measuring units on the inside. Side of pot has pour spout, lid is see-through and has holes in two places on the rim to remain on when draining liquids. Have been looking for this size of pot for several months and was unable to find in-store.

I really wanted to wean myself away from Teflon. I was looking for a stainless steel 10" pan with straight sides. It was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Everyone told me to get cast iron, but I know I wouldn't have taken the time to keep up with care and feeding of cast iron. Besides, I have arthritis in my hands, heavy pans are difficult for me to hold. When I saw this pan, I balked at the price at first, but the reviews were good. I bit, bought the pan, and I'm so glad I did! It cooks better than my old Teflon pan, and if I soak it a bit, it cleans up really easily.Pros - cooks evenly, a little hotter than aluminum but I adjusted; very durable; lighter than cast iron; no "non-stick" surface to come off in your food.Cons - if food sticks to the bottom, it takes a little soaking in water and dish soap, but then a light scrub with a scrubber sponge takes it off in a minute. Now I'm looking at other sizes. I would buy this pan again.

Very well made and I especially like the see-through, glass lid. Narrow, tall build needing only the size of the small stove burner , therefore energy efficient.

Can't say enough about the quality of these pans! I love this model, too -- better than their more expensive ones.Check out the lids: There is a pouring spout on two sides of the pan, for left- or right-handed users. The lids have a deep rim that has draining holes on two sides. If you turn the lid handle perpendicular to the pan handle, the holes line up with the spouts, and you can drain your food perfectly without using a colander! The deep rim on the lid keeps it from sliding as you do this, so no more dumping half my dinner down the sink! There are markings inside the pan to show you how full it is. It has an aluminum core sandwiched in stainless steel, so the heating is even. The handle is 3-dimensional, not flat, which makes it much easier to control the pan. (It engages the large muscles in the your arm, instead of just the small muscles in your fingers.)The materials are excellent and the design is elegant, making the pan wonderful to use. I highly recommend the Calphalon Classic series.

This was the highest quality pot I could find with pour spouts in 1 1/2 quart capacity. Okay, it was the only one, and on sale so I bought it because I'm a tight wad, you happy now? Very well made and sturdy, both for the price and size. Like that the handle is solid and not too long, so doesn't snag on my shirt sleeves or interfere with other vessels on the cooktop; not "tippy" like many other diminutive pots. Whole thing is brushed stainless steel for a satin rather than mirror finish. Result is improved grip and basically smudgeless appearance. Don't have an induction cooker yet but apparently this pot is induction-ready, engraved so on base. Performs well on my glass-top range and pours drip-free. And just enough of a little gap between lid and spout to store an ice tea spoon upright (Disclaimer: mocha is my beverage of choice here.) Would purchase the 2 1/2 quart version as well if it weren't going for twice the price I paid for this one. :yikes:
