I ordered what was described as a 36” spearheading clip. Much, much smaller than advertised. Maybe 15” long. Disappointed.

I’ve had multiple spearfishing stringers over 30 years but this is by far the weakest, thinnest metal, and smallest I’ve ever seen. It’s NOT what you expect unless you’re stringing brim or sardines.

I've used this product to hold my catch of rockfish, ling cod and salmon. It is great and as expected for a few rockfish. I have found that larger fish or a full stringer of fish (limit here is 5 rock fish and 2 ling cod of 22 inches or longer) will cause the loop to flex/bend and as I lift the fish out of the water the loop will open. I have lost fish this way. The problem can be corrected by bending the pointed end of the loop to have more of an angle at the point it clasps. That kink in the metal will prevent the loop from opening accidentally but also makes it harder to add fish to the stringer/loop. A 2nd "stringer clip" would be another solution. I'd estimate one loop, unaltered, is good for up to about 15-20 pounds of fish.

Exactly as described. Should work well with my Kyack fishing trip if I get lucky.

It might be a little hard for someone with small hands and there are some things in its design id rather were different

Works great. Large enough for big fish and easy to use. Very secure.
