I just removed these decal wraps after almost 4 years (after the decals expired). With a hair dryer on high heat and slowly peeling back from the corner, I was able to remove them with almost no residue. Some decals left no residue at all. Just to be sure I used a bit of Goof Off and then cleaned the area with soap and water. There would be no way to tell the decals were there for 4 years. Very happy with this product and I already purchased them again for another EV.

Not a whole lot to these but they are a must have for EVs with carpool stickers. The stickers do not last much longer and the DMV issued stickers will not come off your car easily. These allow you to safely apply the stickers to your car with the comfort of knowing you can take them off.Two tips for installing these.1. Wipe down the application area with an alcohol pad to ensure they stick properly.2. Apply the DMV stickers to the protective vinyl first and then peel off the vinyl and apply to your car. This is my second car I've used these one and both have been perfect.

I knew I didn’t want to apply the stickers directly onto the car because once the stickers expires next year, I didn’t want to deal with the pain of removing it. I imagine all the sticker residue that would be left on the car bumper, and found this PPF, which is perfect.Even though the website description says it is 3 AM Scotchgard PPF, but I wasn’t able to confirm because the PPF didn’t show any description. However, the stickers came pre-cut, was only about .1 mm bigger than the actual California stickers so it was perfect for future removal once the stickers expire.Ultimately, the slight cost premium at $15 compared to buying the actual PPF and then cut it to size which would cost about $10 was worth it to me because of the time saved. I didn’t particularly notice bubbles because I don’t Need the PPF to be perfect when it’s something to be removed in the future. Plus, they HOV decals is design so it kind of doesn’t matter if there are small bubbles as long as the outside edges adhere to the car paint.

I was able to install this with HOV stickers relatively easily. The cutouts are slightly larger than the actual sticker so that its easy to add them on.In order to place it I initially cut out the stickers to find a good position on the car before removing the back and sealing it.One complication is that the HOV decals do not do well on heavily curved/ corner areas. I placed one in an area that didn't look good. I was able to remove it without leaving any marks and reapply it to a flatter area of the car. It seems to have stuck pretty well even a second time.

Having researched on the HOV stickers and the sticky mess they could leave behind on your car, I decided to go with this film to put between the HOV stickers and my car. So far this film has stay well despite regular car washes.

Had no issues installing the ppf. The stickers were just a tad smaller than the ppf which i appreciated. Made it super easy to put on and didn’t have to be too precise. Can’t speak to the removal process just yet but seems good

Love this idea! These pre-cut ppf stickers are a great idea and kudos to the person who came up with this idea. Many years ago I had a 1st gen Honda Insight (the weird little hand-built 2 seater from 2000). I had HOV lane stickers on it and enjoyed the empty carpool lane (ah, those were the days!). The stickers eventually expired and I took them off, and it was a huge pain in the backside! When you peel them off they leave behind a silver film (part of the security of the sticker) in the shape of the sticker and this film is very secure on the paint and takes a long time to carefully scrape off. I tried all sorts of solvents to remove it but only scraping was effective.Fast forward to today (23 years later!) and I now have a BEV car that qualifies for the HOV lane. While it's frequently full of other cars, it can still save a lot of time in the SF Bay Area and all over So.Cal. It took the DMV 4 months (four!!) to get me the HOV stickers for this car and since I try to keep cars for a long time (kept the Insight for 12 years) I'll want to remove the expired ones when these expire in 2 years, and don't want to go through that frustration of carefully scraping them off again. So the idea of putting the HOV sticker on another sticker is genius! The PPF will peel off an maybe leave a little glue which should come off with some goof-off or other solvent, but I won't have to deal with the silver film since that will be stuck to the PPF. So happy that this is a thing! Keep in mind, this is intended to be permanent, so don't get these thinking you'll be able to transfer the HOV stickers to another car. That won't work. Taking off the ppf will stretch it and the adhesive will be destroyed, so you will need to get replacement HOV and PPF stickers if you need to replace them (like from an accident/repair).For those of you that care about your paint and may have already applied PPF to your car, I have PPF on the hood and front bumpers and these ppf stickers work fine sticking to existing PPF. On the rear of my car I don't have PPF protecting the paint (at least not where I stuck the HOV stickers), and there was no problem sticking these to the paint. My advice to you if you buy these (highly recommended if you care about your paint) and want to apply the HOV stickers is wash the area (or the entire car) first then use a little isopropyl alcohol to clean the area where you plan to stick the stickers. You want to remove any wax or ceramic coating you might have applied to avoid having the stickers peel around the edges. That also happened on my Insight and it was frustrating. If you leased the car then you probably don't care, so why did you read to the end of this review :)
