I was able to use this kit to cover the front headlights on my cybertruck. Pretty easy install, measure, cut, prep the surface, install and done. If I needed to do it over again I would buy this again.

After watching lots of youtube installation vids, I simply filled a 16 ounce spray bottle with tap water and a maybe a tablespoon of baby shampoo. Shook it up, sprayed door sill area and adhesive side of PPF. Just peel away the protective backing ( like on a bandaid ) to expose sticky side. It's meant to work with slippery solution so spray away. The small included squeegee works well but I managed to squeeze out most of the solution just by using my fingers. I only wanted to cover the horizontal area of my door sill . . . not the areas that start to bend up towards the A and B pillars so this 2.75 inch wide strip was perfect. The first door sill took me almost 15 minutes because I was super cautious. By the time I got the the fourth? 5 minutes. Done. Looks great. Very pleased with product.

You end up paying more for a name brand such as XPEL however they are considered one of the leading companies in PPF for auto applications. The instructions are well written and there are videos online to help guide you through the installation process. Don't worry about small air bubbles that may be present after you apply the film to your sills as they disappear in a couple of weeks of drying out. The XPEL product provides an easy way to give your car the paint protection where you need it with professional looking results.

I have installed XPEL onto the door sill of every vehicle I have owned over the past 10 years. The product works exactly as described. It is a low profile completely transparent protective strip. The previous installation on my sedan lasted for eight years without any discolouration, lifting, or bubbles. I recently installed this onto both my vehicle and my wife's vehicle. The installation instructions and videos are spot-on for how to install the product. My only additional tip for installation is to use a very liberal amount of the soap/water solution. When doing so, if you use a liberal amount of the solution, one is able to slide the strip into the final position and then squeegee it in place. In the chance that you make an error, it is easy to lift up one side of the strip and spray additional soap/water solution before reapplying. I was able to remove virtually all small bubbles from each of the stips for all four door sills. Do not worry about any additional small imperfections or remaining fluid under the strips. Over time, this will evaporate.Make sure to thoroughly clean the surface with an alcohol-based solution to remove any debris or oils. I have gone over each sale individually two to three times prior to installation. This will avoid having to remove the wet strip to read any debris and then reapply.I have not taken one of the protective strips off. Therefore, I cannot comment on any issues with removing or damaging paint. However, from what I have read it is compatible with exterior paint and should cause no damage after removal. For the price, this is a great investment in keeping a high traffic area of your vehicle like new. When installed, it is virtually invisible to the naked eye. I will continue using XPEL products to protect all my vehicles.

Brilliant, works a treat, easy to apply. It took me two goes to apply the first strip because I tried to squeegee too much water out from underneath. Turns out that isn't necessary. The second time I just smoothed gently with my fingers to push/slide the bulk of the water and any bubbles out and then left to dry.

I bought this a week ago but I just finished putting in on my 2018 Mazda 3 hatchback just now. It’s nice to have to protect your car but it’s lenght is not enough. I was able to put this on the front passenger door and the back two doors but I ran out for the front door driver side. How the hell am I gonna protect the driver door side? And It’s not easy to install. It takes awhile for it to stay in place. I hope they make long enough to put on all doors.

Quick deliver from Amazon. I bought Xpel protective film to protect my new carbon bike frame from stones chips and debris. The film was very easy to install using the "wet" method described in the instruction. Also, it was easy to cut to size using a sharp scissor or razor blade. The width of the film was too wide for my bike's downtube. Before you install it, make sure you wet the film completely in the water/dishwash soap then put it on the surface you want to protect. You can move it around to position the film for final fit while it is wet. If the film starts to stick before the final fit, just lift it up and re-wet it to move. You can remove the bubbles with the squeeze that is included with the film.Once the film is on, it is almost invisible. I am very happy with the film. It looks sturdy and thick enough to protect my bike, but time will tell. I posted couple of pictures for review. Thx.
